Got away with that... Reading were wasteful

Derby had two chances and took them

Let's hope that'll be the same outcome for us tomorrow. COYRs

Hopefully we'll only need the one chance, defence of Solly | Bauer | Pearce | Page (If thats what starts) should be good enough to hold out any team at this level

Going forward will be the question

Unfortunately it'll happen at some stage of the season (where we concede first) yet just hope we can come from behind to win a few as our record doing that of late is abysmal

Hopefully Phillips has a good game.

The one area where it could go horribly wrong is like what happened to Mannone tonight, first game of the season so all players are going to be a bit rusty so a few will have mistakes in them

Like you say, just really hope that Phillips has a good game with a clean sheet being a bonus as will do wonders for his confidence
  • Anybody gonna tell us what word was used that the commentator felt they had to apologise for (or were told to apologise for)?

You could hear Derby singing “who the fucking hell are you”

    Yeah. That was all. Pathetic.
  • Didn't watch it but i see Mason Mount scored, big season expected for that kid.
  • Does he last till end of August

His one win this season shouldnt mask the fact that Derby were bloody lucky in that game too
  • Vanity signing by the chairman and looks like it's not going well so far.

  • Bloody ell, he's not even three games in yet! An he won one of those

A game they got lucky in against a team who are now bottom.

    Lost 4-1 last week
    Already 2-0 behind today.

Derby are a team who expects to be in top 6 and that doesnt like likely under Lampard
  • Derby County are the biggest chokers in the championship. They have spent massive for the last few years yet always fall away. Giving the managers job to Lampard was a huge gamble
  • All the discussions about who was the better player Gerrard or Lampard, currently there is no debate about who is making a better fist of management.

Different strokes mate, Rangers is a good first job for either of them. They can handle pressure however coming into a club like Derby is a job for an experienced head
  • Championship is one of the hardest Leagues in the world... Premier League bosses have dropped to the second tier and have struggled compared to the top flight

No way can you compare the jobs that Gerrard and Lampard are doing
  • In fairness to him, there won't be many tougher home games than Leeds, nor many tougher than Millwall away.

See how they get on over the next few weeks, i think he'll do ok there.
  • Could do a job here, already losing to the spanners
  • As a former West Ham and Chelsea player, I'm sure he got a warm welcome yesterday at the Den...
  • Anyone can be a manager especially if they've played in the Premiership and been a tv pundit. Frank should have been given a top six job in the Prem as a manager and it's not fair for a man of his stature to have to work in the Championship on a shoestring budget.

He will obviously succeed because Robbie Savage backed him on Radio 5 last night - Robbie always talks sense....

  • Just got his 1st red as a manager
  • Wonder who the ref is for this game? Was it Keith Stroud, Kettle etc?
