  • Thank Christ the football is back on Saturday!
Do you not recall the Post Match Threads and the chaos they can descend into?
Only when we lose a game which we’re not going to do this season

Me: My wife enjoyed a lovely holiday to Kingston recently.

    Friend: Jamaica?

Me: No, she wanted to go!
Possibly one of the oldest jokes around.
It was doing the rounds 70+ years ago….sorry CAFC boi.
Was just trying to lighten the mood - old but gold as they say!

He's setting up a teenage dating agency  :o
Looks in good shape, Sir Steve Brown seems to have lost a few pounds.

  • Fresh off the back of a starring loan stint at Northampton Town, midfielder Terry Taylor’s situation has been a topic of conversation at The Valley.

Now, we can bring exclusive news of the 24-year-old’s situation at Charlton Athletic. The72 has been told that Taylor is pushing for a first-team recall under Nathan Jones, but he is attracting extensive transfer interest from League One.

Luton Town and Barnsley have made enquiries over the possibility of signing the Aberdeen-born midfielder on loan, rivalling former loan club Northampton Town to bring Taylor in.

  • He could, himself, be pushing for a recall and be on the loan list

Jamaica’s prowess in broader athletic terms is quite astonishing. As far as football is concerned it’s probably a bit of an undiscovered goldmine in terms of Jamaican football league talent. Great forward thinking by the club for exploring the potential.
I had a chat with Charlie about this last season.  Just before we signed up with Mount Pleasant.
It’s fascinating really.  When the slave trade all started apparently Jamaica got first refusal on the African slaves so they obviously chose the fittest and strongest.  Since then they have just maintained a gene pool of excellent physical specimens and this leads to the thought process they Jamaica is a potential goldmine.
he had some statics but I can’t recall them.  But it was quite an enlightening and interesting chat really and hopefully explains our current tie-in with all things Jamaican
This was Baron Charles Talbot you were talking to presumably
Comrade Corbyn played the biscuit game fella 😂

Amazing the effects you can get with a decent camera and lighting ain't it...
  • I did wonder whether Taylor would be given a chance again.

We aren’t blessed with players in his position, and I think we’ll set up differently in the Champ to how we did in League One. Do feel there is a player in there. He just needs to catch a break.

I hope it is with us.

Spurs are an interesting one. Maybe they will remember how we treated Nile John. Was meant to be their starlet and didn’t get a look in for us
John has since reached the dizzy heights of the Portuguese 2nd tier.
Yeah, I mean fancy having to suffer the beautiful and sunny Santa Maria da Feira, on the West Coast of Portugal when you could be plying your trade in rainy Nth London...terrible ain't it...🙄
Is there an east coast of Portugal ? 😉
In his defence, there is a south coast, with the coastline from Faro to the Spanish border trending northeastwards...

Edit, also, being super pedantic, what about the eastern shorelines of Madeira or the Azores?
I am in Tavira, slap bang between Faro and the Spanish border  B)
I've been there! Lovely innit. Quite the riverfront
Tavira is beautiful, we are very lucky to live here!
I was there last week! It's nice
