12 weeks in a brace is a long time. Just because he doesn't need an op doesn't mean it is straight forward. Complications after the healing process can be drawn out with ligament injuries.2 -

Id be massively surprised. Brace for 10-12 weeks is mid-end of May. He’ll then need to gently rebuild strength in his knee slowly. He might be ok to go on the trip and recover out there but he won’t…3 -
