It's partly the ads as mentioned above but another issue is that nothing starts on time in America. You would end up with games starting before the other has finished which would be worse2 -

If there is any truth in the Blackpool bid for Anderson being rejected then it doesn’t mean that it wont happen. I’m sure most bids for players are initially a bit cheeky but if there’s real interest…4 -

there a number of deals being worked on but it’s difficult with players and agents away .. things will start to move once players return to training5 -
