looks a great signing, fingers crossed he can chip in with 15+ goals ideally
He only scored 8 goals in league one last season.
Only 8 goals? Old @DOUCHER won’t be happy with those stats! 😁
I jest. I’ve not seen that much of him but sounds like just the sort of player you need in the transition from L1 to the championship. Similar to how Tom Bradshaw was for us. Doesnt pop up with a lot of goals but continually pressing, harrying and harrasing the back line. Proper grafter. Creates chances for other players. Good luck to the lad. Got a good head on his shoulders and a local lad to boot.
Oh, and the £700k will come in handy thank you very much 😉
I'm reliably informed Millwall agreed a double sell on fee for him so another 40% of Stockport's sell on fee from any sale by us. Hopefully that's for big bucks after he's been a roaring success
Well done Friedman , Brener and Co. I had confidence they would spend the money required to give the team a decent chance of creating a competitive Championship team.
What a bloody good signing this looks! I think he's going to be a real fan favourite, we now have a few in the club, which feels so good. Charlton just feels good now, and it's been a long time coming. Good luck to the lad, I reckon he's going to step up and dominate!
There I was just walking down the street singing Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do, running past defenders scoring one or two he looks good (he looks good) he looks fine (he looks fine) Tanto Olaofe's on my mind and scoring all the time and he's Charlton's number 9"
What’s exciting for me is with a few more signings like this we’ll be able to keep that high intensity up.
If he plays alongside Godden/Leaburn/Another he’ll press high and run the channels, and if/when he tires we can bring on TC.
If a team defence lacks pace, overplays at the back or pushes very high we could play him and TC together.
I’d have thought we’ll sign another striker, so it’ll be interesting to see what type we go for. I can see it being someone who’s more of target man, back to goal, hold up the ball but capable of scoring to give Godden real competition.
Oh when the samba rhythm starts to play, dance with me, make me sway, Isaac Tanitoluwaloba Aduraoluwatimileyin Olaofe running down the wing, scoring goals makes the Charl'on sing...
