I expect that's gonna take ages to get along Woolwich Road, the pavement is pretty narrow.

It's a joke they're doing this when it'll be us kept in at the den in January

What a load of cobblers. Police adding tension to the occasion and the station area in particular. Are they going to hold 10,000+ Charlton fans at the Anti-Gallican as that image shows?

Ticket restrictions are already in place, and i do not understand why police do not respond as needed on the day. Maybe that is not something they have capacity or capability for these days and instead treat us like dopes for the sake being seen to do something.

A dispersal order will be in place for the area shown on the map above from 09:00hrs until 23:59hrs tomorrow to provide officers with additional powers to deal with crime and antisocial behaviour. Anyone engaged in such activity can be directed to leave the area or face arrest.

    This is understandably unreasonable.
I predict issues at the level crossing gate…Ransom walk should at least be available to everybody.
One alternative could be cutting along the back of the West Stand and joining the Millwall supporters as they exit.
Unrealistic I suppose, but it’s all a bit shit isn’t it?

    What a fucking joke
  • So what if you want to walk up Church Lane...are they gonna question every fan leaving the ground as to their intentions...utter crap idea, just keep the Millwall mob behind for 30 minutes as per...

  • So it is OK to pen us in there sh@t hole of a ground for up to an hour so they can all get home for strictly come fighting but they also have free rein to get to Charlton station before us??

    Nice one plod!!!
  • they clearly are not interested in attempting to keep the scum in the ground and want the vermin out and away back to their natural habitats and behaviour asap rather than have them in the state of fucktardness that they evolve to when it comes to football matches.

How is it possible that the club and supporter reps have allowed the police to impose this without so much as a whimper?

And my brother wondered why I was so insistent on taking the bus from Blackheath ( where I’m staying) to Charlton Village and especially back that way.

Saw this coming all the way from Prague. Didn’t you, @castrust? And what about the invisible Fan Advisory Board with its supposed no-nonsense members we voted in?

I sometimes think that when we become “football fans” we somehow surrender our right to remind the police that they serve us, and we pay their sodding wages.
That's a massive assumption. How do you know the club etc. didn't push back?

Doubt they will allow going out that way Jose, they have closed it off occasionally in the past....

  • How long do you reckon that walk will take after full time to the station?

Whenever we play Nigel’s/ Millwall even Gillingham they’ve always shut the gate in the car park by the away end.

Baffling how it's ok to keep away supporters in for 45 minutes at The Den, but not at The Valley
In the fucking rain too.....ala 2019.

I've heard they are keeping home fans in for an hour after the final whistle and away fans won't have to do the walk to the station as the Charlton directors have laid on private cars for them.

I thought you were an intelligent person Golf

If you think I would put up this for a laugh, then you need your head examined
  • It’s because we need to get off sharpish at the end of the game and join the march 👊🏻😉

Surely this is going to cause chaos at the station too? Doesn't seem very well thought out when the easy solution is just to keep Millwall back

Because they would have been told, if you don’t like it you’ll have to restrict ticket sales as in no away support.

Used to use the mounted to divide the roads so both sets could use. I’m guessing the mounted are all up town dealing with the weekly nonsense by the great unwashed. Blame them not the old bill, only so many of them to police all the football/protests that is happening in the capital on Saturday.
