I am known for my ability to stand using my left foot, and for nothing else but standing eastterrace.

I've seen absolutely nothing to want us to keep him beyond January.
    I agree.
Pal of mine is a norwich fan and a personal friend of his .He acknowledges he is 1.5 stone overweight .my pal says he hits the town a but when he goes home to norwich
Quite Well believe that, must have been desperate to sign him in the first place.Sorry but another wrong signing by Nathan.

Onel Hérnandez and Jérôme Roussillon have both departed the club following the expiration of their short-term contracts.

"Onel's been injured for the last four, five weeks," Jones said. "It's meant that his opportunities have been curtailed, but the lads love him. The lads loved Jérôme, he was a popular figure - it's just he hadn't played football so to put him into a Championship game was unfair and would've stretched us. Trust me, we wanted to do it because it was a position that we just couldn't fill.

"Onel started really well and then just picked up an injury because, again, when you take a free agent he hadn't played, he hadn't trained at the intensity that we do and so on. He was unfortunate with that. We wish both Onel and Jérôme all the best for the future."

So why? did we bloody sign Jerome if he could not play in a Championship match, sounds like the clubs recruitment is totally disjointed.

think it’s more to do with the fact ‘he hadn’t played football’ 😂

Might be a lesson to all those players who turn down contract extensions or wait around too long before deciding which club to sign for.  We've seen it before with Reeves & even this season with Knibbs......if you don't do a full pre-season then you run the risk of not being match fit when you eventually sign for a club. It can't be a coincidence that both players had been kicking their heels since June & when needed to play weren't up to the physicality of a tough Championship League.

My take on it is that we probably wanted him to play in an U21 game as a 'triallist' so we could assess him, he likely said no chance i'm doing a trial, i've got years of Bundesliga experience and i'm only playing and risking injury if you sign me, you either want me or you don't, so we panic signed him as we had no other option, then when people saw him play in that U21 game they realised he was absolutely miles off it.

I'm probably wrong but i can't think of another logical explanation.

Pathetic signing, even as cover.  Quite literally his only contribution was giving away a needless pen against Wrexham.  They were very much on top in that second half, but we had kept them out until the 70th minute

Could prove costly at the end of the season
  • Did not need this news tonight. Really hoped we were going to build a team around Onel next season and push for Premier league promotion.

You're spot on about him refusing a trial and only agreeing to being signed. Wasn't this stated when/shortly after we signed him?

Somewhat ironic that Onenil Hernandez’s only meaningful contribution led to a one nil defeat to Wrexham

I think he was a victim of playing in a poor side and without a clear definition of where he'd play. He's been a winger almost all his career and suddenly was shoehorned in at left wing back, and played alongside Gillesphey in all those games. I reckon if we had Bell at LCB and he was the attacking winger/wing back hybrid that TC played, with Bree at RWB staying more defensive, he might have been a bit better.

As it happens all he'll be remembered for now is the handball at Wrexham

Good luck to him, I thought he at least put a couple of good shifts in before the infamous handball

He does mention it in the vlog I posted.

You know what... someone ask him to create an account on Charlton Life (it would be fun to have a q&a with him).
