Deal has hit a snag apparantly, the player wants to sign but Wednesday have 'moved the goalposts'. I personally think it is something to do with Semedo heading in the opposite direction.

nothing to do with Semedo, he's on a free and so can't affect any deal we are trying to do for Morrison

So that's why Semedo had such an appalling scoring record .. the goalposts were moved everytime he had a whack or he kept heading the ball the wrong way .. old threepennybit head !!!!
Suggest this about SW signing the Wolves defender Batth before letting Morrison go - especially as we apparently also expressed an interest in the same player. Mandaric/ Megson would not be seen in protecting their interests if we signed Morrison and then competed for the player they were planning to sign to replace him.
Challenge is a) Will they secure Batth? b) if they do in what time frame? because McCarthy at Wolves was in no rush to release

How can it be? Semedo is a free aganet and nothing to do with us anymore.
Why don't we go and get Baath instead - that would really p%ss them off lol. Then they would be stuck with a player they don't want and would miss out on a player they do want.
CHARLTON are closing in on their 11th major signing of a hectic summer - with Sheffield Wednesday's Michael Morrison expected to complete a move to The Valley tomorrow.
The South London Press has been told that the 23-year-old only needs to pass a medical to make his switch to SE7 official.
The Addicks had been linked with a move for Morrison at the start of the week but Valley sources had indicated that the deal was proving too rich.
But progress has been made and the Owls central defender looks likely to be part of Chris Powell's squad before their opening pre-season game against Welling on Saturday.
Oh my god, if we pull this one off it will be the signing of the century. Destined for a top 4 club in the future. The player we've been lacking for the last 30 yrs................................Do you think that matches their enthusiasm over Semedo? :-)
Forgive some of our enthusiasm re Semedo, but when you've had Darren "crab" Potter and James O'Connor running your midfield anything is a step up.
I've only seen Semedo a couple of times, he looks decent but then again against our midfield Stephen Hawking would, as for Morrison, I don't think he was given a proper chance at Hillsborough and looked good when he first joined that said he did have a couple of mares so Megson has made up his mind.
Be interesting to see how both sides fair, you with your 11 signings before the schools holidays and us with our 4 signings and still building as we speak

How does it go again, ah yes, if we sign him I think I will have a "sex wee"!
Don't know too much on this fella , got to trust Chris Powell's nous and ability to get the best out of people, people buy people as they say , and maybe Megson and him have had a falling out , but with us Chris will make him shine.

mate great player in the holding role, he is very defencive minded which some appreciate some dont, love the fella will give yu everything, prone to stupidity with the odd red card but he gives everything and it is easily forgivable, not a league winning signing unless you have a great creator next to him but cracking signing

Or they are fearful of the number of signings we are accumulating.
They've had trouble pulling in new players and have hardly signed anyone yet.
Might still have one packed away somewhere.
Sorry, back off topic. Right where were we?
