Just watched Brighton and Forest, I hope we are better than that boring match. I hope they both carry on playing like that, at least we will have 2 clubs below us
Going to be good day all round, I'm swimming 1.5km in the thames at docklands in the London triathlon at 13:00 then a quick change and drive to see a nail biting win 2 - 1. Coyr.
Sidelined by menieres disease, still recovering from yesterday. Gutted to miss the season opener and in my new seat :-( Still my son is going with his mate in my place, while I stay at home and follow Red Midland. COYR
Simon Church is the best striker we, Charlton, have had since Yann Kermorgant.
He accelerates to block the defender, to stop him from even thinking about advancing. You don't notice that after all our dreary sideways balls at The Valley, when everyone troops off at half-time, we are still 0-0.
Late in the second half, our midfield is vacant - as usual - and our opponents pass wide, skin a weak defence, and swing dangerous crosses in to our box.
And score.
I have never seen Igor Vetokele rush ten yards at a defender, anticipating his next move - as Churchy does. Or close him down. Or worry the keeper. Is Vetokele injured - or badly coached? Fifteen thousand fans at The Valley demand far better.
That post has spoilt it for me. I thought you were just barking but now I just think you are on a wind up.
Such a pity.
Yes. Time to ignore the troll
Or just take it for what it is, a bit of humour. Multiple wind ups are tiresome, the occasional one can be amusing. He obviously puts a bit of effort into it, it's well wrote and only occasional.
Very big game for our goalkeeper today. I really hope Nick Pope himself believes himself that he can play and is good enough for the championship. I personally hope to see him looking confident and a little more relaxed even during the "warm up" hopefully he'll get a few early touches to get his confidence up! Come Nicky boy we are all behind you!!!!

Don't say why people have to bite so savagely
I agree actually.
What disappoints is the realisation that the posts are not the work of a genuine fruit loop. We don't have enough resident nutters on here apart from Len and Seth ;0).

Lots of long high balls annoy the crowd.
Our goals from the great Dane and a CB - both headers.
Their goal a pen from a Pope foul, who gets sent off.
