Probably not Liverpool levels but who knows?
The lad has done incredibly well for himself, and the desperation some have to try and discredit is embarrassing, to be honest.3 -
He isn’t Liverpool standard. Who’s place in the team would he take?0

Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world. He isn’t that level of player, but he’s got the potential to have a fantastic career and his time at both Charlton and Rangers will both be important and valuable steps on that path.1

If palace are interested...he will unfortunately likely make that move.
Hopefully west ham/Newcastle/Aston villa or another bigger club can and will step in before he signs on the dotted line for palace.
He would need a guaranteed 1st team position. Could learn a lot from Vieira 😬0 -
Joe Aribo has played his 70th game of the season while representing Nigeria. No other player in a top League in Europe has played this many games for club and Country in season 21/22.
Stuart Taylor the keeper who retired in 2018 played 75 League matches in 21 years.12 -

Even if JA's a physical freak, any full time pro who struggles to play half that many needs some serious introspection. The footballing standard of the SPL might be poxy but physically it's no picnic.0 - Sponsored links:

It certainly is Billy in this day and age where they don't give players pain killing injection which was endemic back in the day.
My son told be this information as he follows Joe's career closely, and I believe the reason Aribo is a record breaker is Alfredo Morelos got injured and missed the last couple of months of the season and Roofe who became the main striker in his absence then missed a month so Joe couldn't have a rest in the league matches and with Rangers getting to the UEFA final and Joe now playing for Nigeria, there's no respite for our ex player.0 -
Sell on?0

Good, was very worried he would end up at palace7

Yes Joe, prove that you're brilliant in a league that doesn't have 7 pub teams and 3 decent ones.1

Southampton have proven to be good at development.
Aribo will do well and hopefully eventually sign for a club like Newcastle/Tottenham2 -
JWP and Aribo would be a very interesting CM pairing under Hassenhutl.0

Fee being reported here as £6m, great signing for Southampton at that price.0

Doesn't look too happy about it.3

I actually think he is vastly overhyped on here. Average Prem player at best. Cannot see him being a regular starter for Southampton.5

Joe Aribo was a late developer and it took time for him to flourish in youth football but once he came to Cafc from Staines his first non academy side he played in, it was clear that the ability and application was there.
Southampton have just appointed 35 year old Joe Shields from Man city after 9 years, and his position at City was head of academy recruitment . Sancho for City was one of Joe's and getting the London kid to go up North was good business.
Even if Sancho decided to go to Borussia Dortmund to fast track his career later.
With 18 year old *Lavia and Bazanua a 12 million pound signing from Man city, Southampton will continue to be the Premier side that can attract the 2022 versions of Bale, Walcott, Shaw, Lallana Oxlade-Chamberlaine and Ward-Powse because you have more chance of playing in the saints first team at 18 if you show the quality.
* 40 million buy back option for City.0 -
I actually thought he'd end going to Southampton before he want to Rangers, just because they're good at developing young players and he'd have been good enough to at least make their match day squad each week.
A good move for him if it happens.6
