    I imagine the Saints will have to pay a large portion of his wages to move Joe on in January.

    Would love him on loan. Perfect for the hard working 10 role NJ plays with. He's played deeper so definitely has the work rate. 

    Would have to battle with Carey I guess. Carey probably has more goals in him too.

    No disrespect to Joe,but here we have it in a nutshell,no wonder clubs go skint if they are paying this sort of money to players.

    I don't think he'll be earning 70k a week now. Southampton players have wage cut clauses in their contracts, so the whole squad will have had a cut this year following their relegation.

    Ok (had this chat with a saints fan the other day).

    Salaryleaks has him on 45k (£24,750 after tax) after the relegation, so a 35% wage cut:

    Still puts him in the top three of Championship highest earners. The 70k is from Capology (not the best source in the world).
