I imagine the Saints will have to pay a large portion of his wages to move Joe on in January.0

Would love him on loan. Perfect for the hard working 10 role NJ plays with. He's played deeper so definitely has the work rate.
Would have to battle with Carey I guess. Carey probably has more goals in him too.2 -
Wasn't he frozen out by Will Still?0

I'll tell you myself if I ever become rich.6 -
Worlds gone mad if Aribo gets paid 70k pw for playing football. He’s not even that good anyway.0

No disrespect to Joe,but here we have it in a nutshell,no wonder clubs go skint if they are paying this sort of money to players.5

I don't think he'll be earning 70k a week now. Southampton players have wage cut clauses in their contracts, so the whole squad will have had a cut this year following their relegation.0

Ok (had this chat with a saints fan the other day).Chris_from_Sidcup said:I don't think he'll be earning 70k a week now. Still puts him in the top three of Championship highest earners. The 70k is from Capology (not the best source in the world).

There are financial disasters waiting to happen for relegated clubs.Ipswich spent many millions still went down, their wage bill must be massive,Leicester will be the same. The parachute money wont last forever,if these clubs dont go up quickly, they are stuffed.Prime example,Norwich, went up,went down, went up went down, now look at them well in trouble. Also look at what Birmingham and Wrexham have spent, they also must have enormous wage bills,Owners and sponsors will only cover costs for so long without getting returns on their money, and that means premiership or bust for some clubs.Joe will not be the only one on £45k a week, completely unsustainable in the Championship.1

I've no idea how accurate that is, but some dubious decision making by many clubs if for example Norwich's highest paid player is Shane Duffy, and Wrexham's Conor Coady!JustFloydRoad said:

Hard to believe. Especially when Kieffer Moore is listed as being on £25k, and you'd expect him to be on way more than Kelman.charltonbob said:

that being said:
Kaminski I think it is safe to say he is (as he is 20k on both sites*). Kelman on the other hand is on £6,500 ( on capology*). Second highest ( Charlton*) earner (on capology) is Luke Berry ( 15k*)charltonbob said:

One has TC on £1000, the other on £1500, both ridiculously low numbers.
Meanwhile both have Rankin-Costello on £10k, way more than the likes of Ramsay (£3k) and Carey (£5k).0 -
I doubt many figures are completely accurate, but I’d guess academy players are generally on the lower wages, and that those signed while we were in L1 aren’t on as much as those signed this summer.killerandflash said:One has TC on £1000, the other on £1500, both ridiculously low numbers.

JRC signed a 4 year deal and hasn’t played in L1, so it’s not impossible he’s at that higher end.0
