Gary Lineker blasts Matt Hancock demand for Premier League footballers to rush into coronavirus pay cuts as Gary Neville says Health Secretary has 'a f***ing cheek'
Maybe he can take a pay cut as MotD not on currently.
Premier League clubs may withstand the current situation but others may not or not without massive problems

Don't see too much wrong with what he's said to be honest.
Premier league clubs using the government furlough scheme to cover staff wages is bang out of order though
He does have a point.
Will the CEO of Tesco, British gas and Thames Water for example be taking a cut?
They bloody well should be.
Same guy who took bungs from anti-NHS lobbyists at the start of the decade?
For sure, people have a moral duty to do the right thing. I am sure football will respond.
However, I dont think an MP previously tainted with thieving expenses and accepting cash for questions has any right to lecture anybody.
A man from Croydon has also had his say: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/apr/03/matt-hancock-deflecting-blame-on-to-footballers-andros-townsend-crystal-palace-premier-league-pay-cuts
"Let's try to shift the blame from ourselves and our mishandling of the crises and underfunding of the NHS"
"Good idea. Let's ask big business to pay their taxes or take a pay cut"
"Can't do that, they fund us"
"How about we lead by example and say all ministers and MPs will take a pay cut?"
"Don't be silly"
"OK, let's blame greedy footballers"
"But it's not their fault there aren't enough ventilators and nurses are underpaid"
"Who cares, we'll just blame them anyway, the press will lap it up anyway"
saying they should donate their wages to help fund the nhs would be a completely different thing, which as far as I’m aware hasn’t happened??
It's also hard to get one's head round how Spurs can make the decision in a nanosecond to use tax payers money to furlough 550 staff but aren't prepared to do anything so far as their superstars are concerned. I wonder why?
Finally, as for Premier League footballers coming out and saying this criticism is so unfair I would like to assure them that they will be able to manage an average reduction of £14,000 a week. - the £56,000 they would get paid instead still represents 100 times more than the average wage of a nurse. They should try living on that!
Gary Neville .. decentish right back in one of the best ever English teams .. makes good money as a know all pundit on Sky .. has temporarily 'donated' his hotels for the use of the Govt/NHS .. nice gesture ensuring lots of brownie points .. slating Hancock as he doesn't want to upset all his overpaid prima donna footballing pals .. lucky Manc lad who done well, but needs to shut the fuck up
Edit - the PFA have still to agree to this. No doubt it will go to a vote and the results will be known in approximately 3 months time
He should go back to selling fruit and veg.
Wilfried Zaha recently offered 50 properties he owns to the NHS. A very worthy act but indicative of the life and means of a PL footballer.
Think he has a valid claim to be remembered as the scorer of 10 world cup goals rather than a crisp salesman!
@DA9 gave a good summary on his Facebook
