I think that’s Warburton out of the mix then, we won’t match their wages and they’re a league above, if true. I would rule out Beale personally, if he was still at Rangers I could see it, don’t see him leaving Aston Villa on presumably 5 figures a week.

I reckon the most logical appointment is Ferguson, he’s out of work, plays attacking football and recently been promoted out of this league. I can’t see us going for Bonner, Taylor or Duffy. Reckon they’ll fancy staying put for now.

I do wonder the response if it is Ferguson, I personally would be content on the basis he makes good signings and has had Peterborough playing some really nice football in this league. Huge question marks on him as a championship manager but that’s quite a pretty bridge to worry about crossing if we can get to it.

Ferguson is appealing for League One. Strange how it’s never worked out for him in The Championship, not just with The Posh, but Preston as well. Not so sure about some off his off-field allegations.

Just dropped my lad off at nursery near sparrows lane.

The entrance bar is down and there is security further down, this is never usually the case, something going on today??

Im gunning for Matt Taylor now as my personal number one choice. The fact he played for us doesnt even factor into my thinking but just what he has achieved and has decent experience as a manager who might be looking for the next step.

I see it's between Lee Johnson and Michael Appleton for the Hibernian Job.
    Robinson strongly linked yesterday.

    False alarm.

I took the liberty to pull up and ask the security, he said nothing to do with new manager, they’ve got workers in and out all day as they’re ripping out and replacing the showers.

Bloody TS blowing the budget on hygiene!!!

Could be rubbish but Warburton apparently in talks with Birmingham

If Sandgaard wants Warburton but we miss out because Bowyer did too badly at Birmingham then that would honestly be hilarious.

    Really can't see Warburton coming.
From what I've seen his stock is still pretty high and many think he was harshly treated by QPR.

No way he'd come to this nut house.
More to the point, why would any experienced manager come when TS had made quite clear the recruitment of the squad has little or nothing to do with them?
If a raft of signings show up before the New manager then it's time to be very concerned.

Unless you believe the rumours on Twitter I am sure TS can afford other methods of getting the signings here.

Unlikely any players will be signed before the new manager is announced.

It's been a week today since JJ got sacked, and TS should have made an appointment by now.

The fact that he hasn't shows that it was a petulant, unplanned, ill-thought out sacking.

I'd say his sacking was absolutely none of those.
You also have to take in consideration the diff finishing of the leagues .. if we want Beale we may have to wait another 4 weeks by the time he has a holiday as well ..

...But someone other than a the new manager has already made decisions as to who to extend and who to release. That all has implications and limitations as to who a new manager can sign to build his squad.

I agree, Unless of course a new manager is lined up already, but not officially allowed to announce due to contractual issues, if so, he could already have run the rule 👀over any MS/JJ/SG suggestions

I think Conor was the only surprise. The others were almost certainly going to be released no matter who the manager was.

Conor being released leads to 3 possible conclusions:
    1) The club and player were too far away on the any possible deal, meaning the a contract wouldn't be agreed no matter who the manager
    2) A new manager has been identified and has said he doesn't want Conor
    3) The club has decided to get rid

Option 3 is the only possibly negative scenario, and then only if there isn't the budget/recruitment to get a a better alternative in.

Option 4 - The club want to aim higher than Conor and don't want to waste a squad place and wages on him?

They were still negotiating/interviewing as of 10pmish last night. So presume they have a top choice.

    Warburton supposedly off to Birmingham.
    JFH ruled out.
Lennon doesn’t fit the style of play mantra.

I make it between Beale, Ferguson and Bonner .

Beale after his first manager role?

Ferguson like him or not he does play attacking football.  Experience at this level.

Bonner, done very well with limited resources, young and might see now as the best time to jump ship as the sharks are circling for their players.

    You missed out Steve Kean

So, reading between the lines is that an ITK hint at Warburton, with the reported interest from Brum,... B)
