  • Enjoyed him getting stuck in with a couple of slide tackles too, including one to stop a promising move from Hudders, not seen enough of him to know when he can contribute to the first team, but whatever we did with TC we should be doing with KD

He needs the right ball. Remember Romedahl? For us he only got the ball back to goal and never impressed. For Denmark he got balls through defences or over the top to run onto.

Dixon doesn't need to be strong if he gets passes in front of him where he can use his pace.
  • Thought he did as well as any youngster who's come into the side in the last season or three....... looks like he enjoys having the ball at his feet, he's fast, presses well, doesn't shirk a tackle........ admittedly his shot troubled the covered end crowd more than their keeper :) but hey, I'm liking the potential of what we're seeing so far.
  • He doesn’t half run around a lot. I found it exhausting just watching him!

  • That was a step forward for him at an opportune moment
  • So he's lightweight, but, Romedahl, Haynes, Treacy, Lookman and BWP used to bully defenders?

Couldn't score because they needed to bulk up.

    Listen to your self.
  • He looks raw to me.  At times he didn't really know where to run and he gave the ball away unnecessarily in our half when he got caught on it. But....great energy, clearly bags of talent and could well have got a goal if he hadn't been taken out. A good option for something different to bring on off the bench and really looking forward to seeing him after a full pre-season with us.
  • Only U21s football but some great feet to win a penalty and a well timed run and excellent finish for his second goal here

He's in that weird place where technically he's probably a level above the people he's playing with/against week in week out, but physically he's not there yet for a full time place in the first team.
Perfect for Saturday. No risk to him or the team & gives him a "free hit".
Agreed. Perfect opportunity for him and Mbick to get a bit of time on the pitch for the 1st team. Looking forward to it.
  • Rather see Enslin and Rylah.

    Or all four of them.
  • Not sure about Rylah, looks up to u21 standard technically, and physically he’s strong (for that level) and quick, but he’s looked to me to be lacking with decision making, reading the game, awareness etc. I think that’s showed in his first team cameos too.

Going to be interesting to see what sort of team NJ goes with on Saturday and how many/which u21s are involved, if any.

    Rather see Enslin and Rylah.
Yes all four in front of Hylton and Ahadme (perhaps Chuks). Not sure about Rylah, seems an out and out winger.

But we want a winger/striker to compliment Godden's cleverness, so Mbick and Dixon must be on bench with Aneke out.

Personally, I'd start Mbick over TC and Tyreece to attack tired legs.
  • Rylah Enslin and Dixon behind Mbick would be fun.

I’d like to see Dixon play as the like for like TC replacement. Then bring TC and Mbick on for Godden and Dixon later on
