It occurred to me yesterday when in the garden that I’ve had about half a dozen road traffic cones in my possession for, possibly decades. A couple of yellow triangle ones, and a few of the standard red and white.
I cannot for the life of me remember how or when I acquired them. Or why I’ve never got rid of them.
Anyone else got any random possessions?

I moved into a pretty rural area a few years ago and we have a lot if rabbits that are a nuisance if they get in the wrong place. I am surrounded by grass ,woodland, vegetation etc and very naively assumed that they would all be coaxed into a tiny mesh contraption wherein lurks a few bits of carrot and lettuce
"I ain't never caught a rabbit "
Sweet feet. Do you like my cones? They’re little ones. I got them from a cycling test centre. I’ve got a clean licence. Yours is dirty. You’ve got six points. I’ve got two. Points.
It was just another in a long list of ancient monuments inevitably covered in scaffolding whenever I visit. Apart from the Eiffel Tower but that's made of scaffolding anyway.
He put them in a small rockery and they have become the family marbles.
I also have a small bit of stone from the area of the Taj Mahal. When I went there I went to the workshop where they do a bit restoration work. I bought a bit of their inlay work.
It aint that good, bloody horrible to be brutally honest, I gave it to my sister to cherish.
Unless some of the boys came back to yours drunk at some point.
I took it home (was still living with parents), rolled it out in the back garden and woke my parents up to announce my acquisition, insisting they view it in its glory.
Sunday morning, nursing a sore head I was woken by the sound of a helicopter. The helicopter also woke my mum who convinced herself that it was a police helicopter and the unfurled sign in our back garden would bring unwanted attention so she went out in her dressing gown to roll the sign up and put it in the shed.
I think and hope it’s still there today.
