Our accommodation has passed the no refund point, so now we have another twenty five quid for beer. Happy.

How far have we sunk that our game is called up because BURTON have 3 internationals called up. Have any of ours been called up yet ? Even if they have I'm betting Jones would have preferred to play the match.

    Plans disrupted by Burton.

Chances are the Peterborough game in November will also get called off

That's more a reflection of the international nature of modern football, with L1 and L2 teams have players from lesser international countries or players with overseas ancestry, rather than because Burton have a team full of international stars. These days non league sides get international callups!

Dixon, Kanu, Anderson all likely to be called up again. We just might have made the decision to play it like against Rotherham. Most squads are yet to be announced

    In Burton, wow!
  • Just 2 L1 games being played this Saturday. They might as well just cancel the whole L1 programme now when international matches are being played.

Peterborough v Rotherham hasn’t been called off this upcoming weekend so we may well be in luck for that one next month.

Wouldn’t bank on it obviously but definitely possible that match gets played as scheduled.

If we had played against Burton, then Kanu and Anderson would have been a loss from the team if we wanted to play the same pressing game that we used against Birmingham.

Especially as Coventry would have been suspended.

It's why Anderson and Kanu weren't sent out on loan a few months ago and you are correct Killer, both Kanu and Anderson epitomise the pressing game that Nathan Jones wants. They both need to improve aspects of their game but giving 100% effort isn't one of them.

The other reason is that their wages aren’t included in the SCMP.

Just back from an excellent weekend in Burton where we decided to go as we'd booked accommodation anyway and the pubs are great. Highly recommend the Bridge Inn and Brews of the World.
Spent Saturday afternoon in Lichfield which is a very pretty place, with a good number of excellent pubs and cafes. The cathedral is worth seeing to tick your culture box. Next time we do burton away we might stay there to see more of it - Burton could not be described as picturesque, and theres a bus service between the two.
