    Sullivan - 6 Spilled a couple Hamer not under threat on this performance no chance with either goal
    Francis - 3 All his old deamons came to haunt him, at fault for 1st goal substituted at half time says it all
    Doherty - 6 Same old Doc 4th choice CB nowadays
    Cort - 6.5 Solid ideal cover should he be required for 1st team action
    Evina - 6 Did ok but not a threat for Wiggins just yet
    Green - 6  Looked jaded after lay off has much more to offer
    Pritchard - 6.5 Tried and worked hard
    Hughes - 6 Steady old head tidy nothing spectacular
    Bover - 6 Some nice touches but drifted out of it for periods of the game
    Euell - 6 Kept trying but nothing happened for him
    Benson - 4 Had one speculative overhead effort from 20 yds in 45 mins! hold up play awful substituted at half time

    Mambo - 5.5 Played out of position 2nd half at full back let his man back him up turn inside and shoot for 2nd goal
    Wagstaff - 7 Man of half a Match breath of fresh air with his enthusiasm and workrate 2nd half, can't see Green dislodging him yet

    Sullivan - 6 Panicked a lot
    Francis - 4 Different player to the Francis against Reading. Mistake after mistake...
    Doherty - 6 Looked disinterested at times but did his job well.
    Cort - 7 Won everything, almost scored at the end.
    Evina - 6.5 Wiggins has some work to do, crossing was good.
    Green - 6 definitely still ill. Corners weren't great. Crosses a bit off.
    Pritchard - 7 our stand out player again. Not as good as vs Reading but still worthy of a place on the bench.
    Hughes -5 Disappointing. Non existent.
    Bover - 6 Not ready. Extra half mark for the shot on target.
    Euell - 5.5 poor IMO
    Benson - 5.5 ditto
    Mambo - 6.5 solid out of position.Wagstaff -7 Showed quality up front.
    It was only our reserve team though.. can't forget that.

    Sullivan - 5 - Poor.Francis - 3 - Moron. Doherty - 5 - Too Old. Cort - 9 - Superb.Evina - 7 - Energetic.Green - 4 - Horrific.Pritchard - 6 - Lost.Hughes - 5 - Better. Bover - 8 - Lively.Euell - 6 - Not a target man.Benson - 5 - Lacklustre.
    Mambo - 8 - Promising. Wagstaff - 9 - Brilliant.

    Sullivan - 6 No chance with either goal.  
    Francis - 2 One of the worst. Complete reversal of his performance against Reading.
    Doherty - 6 Solid.
    Cort - 6 Solid.
    Evina - 5 looked a bit lightweight against bigger oppposition.
    Green - 5 Looked absolutely knackered in the first half. Thought his head was going to explode it was so red!
    Pritchard - 5 Lightweight in midfield.
    Hughes - 5 Needed a stronger leader in the middle.
    Bover - 6 Tried, but another player who looked weaker against bigger opposition.
    Euell - 4 Poor. Too much time to think on the ball. Got caught offside too much and gave the ball away needlessly.
    Benson- 5 Service into him was awful.
    Mambo - 6.5 Compared to Francis he could have had a 10. Might have defended better for their second but didn't do much wrong.
    Wagstaff - 7 Came on and had a go.

    Sullivan 6 - No chance with goals but heart in mouth on many of his kicks
    Francis 1 - I cannot recall a worse performance by a Charlton player in my 30+ years of supporting the club. Felt sorry for him, he knew it. Shame because he was so much improved v Reading. 
    Doherty 6 - Usual fare
    Cort 7 - Decent enough debut. 
    Evina 7 - Lively but struggled to get forward
    Green 6 - Looked a bit out of touch
    Pritchard 7 - Really like this guy
    Hughes 6 - Efficient, nothing more. Needed him to lead the midfield against an unfamiliar formation, but didn't.
    Bover 6 - Good and not so good from him.  Felt a little out of his depth at times, and then produced the occasional magic. Not up to the physical stuff yet.
    Euell 6 - As with Hughes, needed him to show some leadership but not a great game
    Benson 6 - We never played to his strengths today, lacked sharpness

    Mambo 6.5 - No pace but did ok in unfamiliar position, gave him an extra .5 for that.
    Wagstaff 7.5 - MOM I think, pace, energy, skill, and the only player who looked genuinely dangerous all game.

    (I think I might have been a little generous but what the heck, we went top tonight)

    Sullivan 6.  Did well in a difficult game.Francis 5  Not helped in first half by his right winger.  Doherty 7 Did well.Cort 6 Not too bad first game.Evina 5 Keeps hold of the ball too long.Green 5 still looked unwell, didn't help his right back out at all!Pritchard 6 tried hard. Hughes 5 Ok. Difficult to lead this unfamiliar formation.Bover 5 Ok. Needs to get more physical.Euell 5. Off side too many times.  Maybe players not releasing the ball early enough.Benson 6 tried hard.
    Mambo 7 Wagstaff  9 Ran his socks off. Can take a good corner too!

    Sullivan 5 - looked nervous and hesitant
    Francis 3 - nightmare
    Doherty - okay but very slow
    Cort 7 - strong but not fit
    Evina 7 - reasonable performance - got forward well in first half
    Green 5.5 - not great
    Pritchard 5 - apart from one goal effort very little involvement
    Hughes 5 - poor leadership
    Bover 6 - very lightweight
    Euell 5 - strength, but no pace and caught offside too often
    Benson 6 - fair but little service

    Mambo 6 - did okay as right back
    Wagstaff 7- looked lively when he came on

    Sullivan 6 - Brave but lacking match sharpness. His reaction after the 2nd goal gave the impression he thought he could've saved it.
    Francis 5 - A couple of dicey moments but very strong in the air and DID make some good tackles. Not helped by having Green and Pritchard as his nearest two midfielders.
    Doherty 7- What did he do wrong? Won 99% of his headers, got in first and didn't get skinned.
    Cort 7 - Same as Doherty. Both looked very solid.
    Evina 6 - Tried very hard and showed some pace late on to get back. Looks to have potential and will be ok with some match practice.
    Green 6 - Lack of matches showed but he was starved of the ball for long periods. One great tackle & burst in the 2nd half spoilt by a final lack of decisiveness.
    Pritchard 5.5 - Miles off the pace in the 1st half and left Hughes on his own. Not knocking his effort and he did get better as the game wore on. He'll have learnt a lot.
    Hughes 6.5 - Started very well and looks to have a good touch. A Semedo type player who will never get too far forward but he'll do for me. Good footballer and a good attitude.
    Bover 6 - Definite potential and another one who never gave up. Not easy playing out wide for Charlton last night and gave it his best shot.
    Euell - 5 Caught off-side too much but had almost zero service. Good that he played 90 minutes.
    Benson - 6 Was competing ok against two good centre-backs. Wonder if that will be his last appearance for Charlton?
    Mambo - 6 Won his headers and did his best. Was helped through it by Cort who was continually guiding him.
    Wagstaff - 7 We looked better when he came on and did his best to make something happen. Didn't like his petulant wave of the hand towards the bench when he was asked to go back to right midfield when Popo came on. Works hard but needs to grow up.

    Sullivan 5  Doesn't look anything special and beaten from long range.  Did take a whack in the gob early on.
    Francis  4 Poor and lost his head.  Was looking odds on for a sending off (my in-game text to Baron Paolo will prove that that's not hindsight) and was rightly subbed off.  Will not have impressed any potential suitors in the stands
    Doherty 6 Did a job, old pro style
    Cort  6 Looked fairly comfortable on his debut.  Nearly won me my last goal scorer bet with a late header.
    Evina 7.5  my MOTM.  pace, good defending, often appeared on the other side to try and make something happen, play the ball on the ground to try and start moves.  Ready for the league bench at least as another option on the right.
    Green 4.5  Heard so many times how he has to replace Waggy.  Not on this showing.  recovering from illness maybe but poor crosses and dead balls and just never got going
    Pritchard 6  As he is when coming on in the league.  Energy high but got muscled out a bit
    Hughes 6 Thought he was steady and showed good touch. Another old pro doing his job.
    Bover 5.5  tried hard but little impact.  Still early days and will improve
    Euell 5.5  Not help but endless high balls but not that good when he did get the ball
    Benson 5  Never really in the game.  Like Green coming back from injury and didn't look sharp.  Hayes a shoe-in on this performance

    Mambo 6  Shakey start out of position but grew into game.  Needs games out on loan
    Wagstaff 7.5  Would have been man of the match if played all game.  Changed us totally upfront and did more in  his short spell wide left than Green did all game.  Usual direct running and had two good chances to score. One great save from a long range volley, other hit the post.
    Popo n/a   Only on a few minutes and was flattened before he's even touched the ball.

    Agree.  Very surprised at the low marks others are giving him.   Not picking on Somerton but he gave Evina the same mark as Francis.  Really?

    I really enjopyed him in what was a dross performance. As you say others are entitled to their opinion but Francis and Evina on a par?

    I'm confused, all the defence apart from Francis played reasonably well but the reason we were poor was the long ball forward. Who was lumping it?
