I wanted that one but they never let you buy it - weird for a football club!

I've still got my first kit somewhere, the 1991-2 home one.

There's a website that sells old and obscure kits - real ones not TOFFS but no idea what it is called.

[cite]Posted By: AFKA Bartram[/cite]i hate pishing about with things like this.

Our colours are red and white.

Our home shirt should be predominently red, our away shirt should be predominently white.

If they want to mess about with other colours, by all means. Just keep them to the third shirt

    I largely agree with this.

However I did like the white shirts with red shoulder flashes that we had in the sixties.

I seem to recall that we played an away match wearing red and black vertical stripes - anyone else confirm this - obviously one of the senior members of this forum.

Just a thought....if the stripes were horizontal, it would have looked like a load of Denis the Menaces on the pitch :o)

I remember green and black in the 70s but not red and black.

I remember the green and black stripes but Im sure we also wore red and black stripes as I still have a red and black scarf which dates back to the 70s......unless I acquired it from a Bournemouth fan? ;o)

I have just had a home kit delivered, not for me but for my as yet unborn son who is due just before the season starts.

Two girls already, one who hates football and one that humours her obssesive Dad a little bit.

[quote][cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]There will be a new design ‘Away’ kit for next season but the Away black kit will continue into next season as a third kit and will still be registered as a current playing kit.

The plan is then for new Home and Away designs for Season 2008/09. I was wrong, for which apoligies, as I thought there would be one new shirt for 2008/9.

I'm told that this has been the the plan since the new Joma contract, which was agreed sometime ago. The promise is not to voluntarily change the Home kit for 2 years, and the club are sticking to this.

And no, the colour hasnt been annouced but here's a sneak preview

The team I play for in the states bought the 91-92 blue away kit as our kit...I was in heaven...The manager wasn't a Charlton fan either ( Man Utd fan ) but they were going cheap. He says to this day that was the best kit we ever had....
