Any Excel Legends on here?

all i want to is a simple lookup from another sheet in the workbook.

i.e. just grab the figure that is in sheet y and put it into sheet z

thought i had it sussed but obviously not.

Any help would be much appreciated

    If you have data in the first cell of sheet 1 (cell A1) and want to see it in a cell on sheet 2, enter this on the appropriate cell:

    =(Sheet1!A1)

    cheers mate, thats what i did in the end, i was trying to be too clever for my own good with vlookups and crap like that!

    I'm just detailing a spreadsheet of all of my dates on a month by month basis!

    Have you tried turning it off then on :-)
