Any good? read some promising stuff about him, hes just signed on loan at Park View Road to join Tamer Tuna who signed last week for the Wings.

How do you think he will do at Welling and do you think he can make it as a pro on return to the Valley?

I seem to remember that he did well during a couple of pre-season games including the opener at Park View?

He only got a 6 month contract in the summer. Has suffered serious injuries and personal issues.

Dont think he will make it at Charlton. Conf South is probably about his level.

He may struggle with the physical side of non league football.

not seen much of him but tend to agree.

Didn't shine at Bromley on loan but did well v Welling pre-season so should be at least good enough.

Welling Fan, come back and give us weekly updates on Ben.  Be nice to know how Tuna is doing too.

Yep no worries, you should also be able to see highlights of them both on the Welling site, if they feature for the Wings.

Welling at Bromley this Saturday if anyone is nearby, not sure if you are at Home or Away but may be of interest to some.

Stature might ultimately hold him back but he's skillful with good touch, great balance, and a strong shot. Be interesting to hear how he gets on. Good luck Wings.
  • How do you rate Tuna.  We had high hopes for him, but it never really happened for him.

Ben is a good decent young man, and deserves to get a chance, and not be written off early.

Ben came on for his debut on Saturday in the draw vs Dover. He looks a good player, good feet, plays the right way, movement and passing and he ddint look lightweight as youngsters on loan can do.

Only came on for 15 to 20 mins but he looked good enough at the very least.

For any of you not travelling away this Saturday, Welling are now at home having brought forward a game.

Saturday 15th October Welling United V Dorchester, if Welling win it is likely they will go back top of the league.

Usually a good deal on in the bar cheap beer between 130 and 230pm and hot food, Plus highlights of previous games on the big screen which will include Ben against Dover.

Would be good to see a few Addicks again cheer us on to Top of the League.

Highlights from the last game are now on http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/wellingutd/videos/welling-united-v-dover-athleti-18916.html you will see a couple of moves involving Ben and Tamer get clattered..

Going off on a tangent according to wikipedia (therefore questionable) he is the dad of the oldest kid actor in Outnumbered.

Has impressed me the few times I have seen him. injury was a big set back - but definitely a player who could come good IMO.

Contract up end of December and I don't think he got a run of games at Welling.

Think he'll have done very well to win another deal, Bover is ahead of him and he has competition from Harriott.
