For all of you asking for Wagstaff to play up front, we can put that one to bed - he can't. He even worse than playing on the wing. Time for a change Powelly!

Always like Waggy, but it's obvious he's not an in the hole striker..... unless it's in the last ten minutes when we may be able to hit teams on the break.  We should however stick him on the left sometime.

I got a count of 6 in the end which was pretty meagre moaning for him. That's all the camera caught though so it could be higher

If only he had Robbo's desire.

    You can't question Wagstaff's desire I don't think.

Probably wrong word. If only he had Robbo's guts .

The moaning is getting ridiculous. Disputes every decision.

As for playing as a forward? Nah.

A lot of them time there was a good case for 'moaning'. He was being targetted the whole game.

Perhaps they did their homework and realised was a pussy he is at times. Well done Brentford.

    Give the lad a break

Erm why ? I'm not the only one who thinks he's led a charmed life in the first team this season . It's just time for Green to be given a run.

People slag him off all the time and expect him to play immense every game. You can't put two and two together. How about you show the lad some encouragement, then he might start performing.

Not a forward, may well lose his place to Green for a while now, fair enough, but he is a good player, and as long as he keeps Green on his toes im happy enough with him.
  • i think he could do O.K upfront but not with Hayes as you could clearly see they had no under understanding of what the other was doing.

Also thought Green looked good today compared to Waggy

Even worse than playing on the wing? yet hes kept our most expensive signing this season out the side, odd comment.

I understand a rest would be good for him. When he played the ball in for BWP vs Chesterfield I think.

Perhaps it's just odd that he's still keeping Green out if the side. just a thought.

Listen , we shall agree to disagree but I just feel Green will provide more assists to BWP than Waggy will ever do. I'm not writing him off , he just looks jaded .

The only one to take a shot which forced a decent save from their keeper and ran himself into the ground for anything, to imply he was poor is not very fair.

Got over powered when he was upfront, but was worth a try to see how he would do i thought. Maybe he would be more effective alongside a big target man for flick ons etc.

I take it you bumped into Sid and co who let you know that no one can header the oppositions strikers foot better than me?

As for the nose, it has character mate.

He can do a job up front/off the striker, he's proven that in the past in more than 1 game. Not sure what he could have done tonight with Brentford controlling the whole game.

As for the comparison to Robinson, what he doesn't have at the moment is Robinson's quality. No surprise there, it's comparing a player that was good enough for the Prem and a Wales international at his peak to one that has just 1 full season of regular starts at League 1 level.

Like Jackson he's not there to beat players. He has pace but even at this level players need more than that to beat players.

He is a good player but is one of those that really needs the right players around him to show it.
  • Was largely playing on the left today.  If you tracked his position he spent more time on the wing and if anything Jacko was more playing as an advanced midfield (often in the forward right quadrant).  They were both pretty bad, but only one of them is the fall guy.

Surely we can ask for skill, intelligence, mental strength.  Not that you can always expect to get these in L1
