Interesting. The problem I have with the 'Rooney Rule' is that it opens up an entire can of worms really. If you say you must interview one black candidate, then surely you must also say 'well you have to interview a female candidate', I know there are practically none but they must be out there, and if they have the qualifications why shouldn't they have a go, it's another minority after all.

"I asked Chris whether I could go to Charlton and keep fit. In the end, Charlton ticked all the bosses and we sorted things out."

Despite 19 players leaving the club at the end of the season – and the same
number arriving – Powell has helped the team to equal their record of 12
    League games unbeaten.

    ----------------

I remember we had an unbeaten winning run last time we were promoted from League One (Division 3) in 1980 /81 of 20 to 22 games. I looked up Statto

    http://www.statto.com/football/teams/charlton-athletic/1980-1981

Statto says unbeaten run of 15 games in 1980 / 81.

The journalist here may be talking about the best start to a season.

    Is that 12 ?

If 12, what was the previous record for start to the season ?
