Are we on target for a club record goal difference?

Plus 22 is pretty amazing after 16 games and set me wondering : could this team set a Charlton record?
Our best end of season goal dfference in the last half century is + 34 in 1999-2000.
Our best post-WW2 GD is + 38 in 1957-58.
And our best ever GD is + 51 in 1934-35.
Having a positive GD at all is pretty rare at CAFC - it has only happened eight times in the last 35 seasons.
More signs of what a good job the new owners and management are doing!

Maybe worth a point at the end of the season

Very interesting question IA. Looking at this it certainly seems possible, though in those earlier seasons we seemed get a lot of big wins later on in the season. So far so good though :-)0

Maybe we should rename him Andre from now on? He loves a Graf too!0

57/58 was vintage. I'm sure we scored over 100 goals that season including 7 against Huddersfield. If only history could repeat itself except we don't want them getting six again when we meet soon.

Only 8 positive GDs in last 35 seasons. WOW. I genuinely love stats like this.0
