My son took this picture on his mobile.  He found it in a school text book.  Just wondered if anyone knew anything about it.  Who is it and why was it taken?

  Any idea what the text book was about, or any wording to go with the pic. to give some idea? Perhaps we're leading 1-0 with seconds to go and as VV says it's pulse checking time.
