Has Football gone Mad?!

First ever thread people so please don't be brutal!
With Manchester City's revelation of record losses this year does anyone else think football, especially Premier League, has gone mad?
I cannot see how this current situation is sustainable and am pretty sure that a number of clubs are going to find themselves on the brink of ruin when their mega-rich investors become bored and walk away. City's wage bill alone in 2010-11 was £174million, utterly ridiculous, does anyone agree that something needs to be done, and soon, to cap these ludicrous wages?

In most other industries a company that was able to dominate the market (in this case players) to the extent which Manchetser City (especially) is threatening to do, would be the subject of an inquiry by the Monopolies Commission0

Football went mad years ago.
The longer everyone continues to pay the ticket prices, merchandise prices & Sky/ESPN subscriptions then it will continue.
