  • "I depart with good memories from Charlton, but I am bored with European football anyway," El Karkouri told the Sun.

"I feel it is about time for me and my family to live in a country like Qatar."

For all his mis-haps and bad marking etc i really liked this bloke, his got a bit of character.

i wish him all the best in Qatar.

As said, bit of a character and wish him well.

No good at defending though, lets hope he's better with a Qatar....

    Thank fook for that.

Might have been a character, but he was shite and cost us far too many points this season.

Dowie and El Kak were the 2 biggest mistakes in 06/07

He played a lot of duff games last year but he gave us entertainment which is something we have lacked over the past few years. No problems with him going though.

    Wish him all the best.

PS AFKA's joke has whooshed above my head!

Let's hope he's not too highly strung out there - or it will be a case of while 'my Qatar gently weeps'.
