We've won the last 8 in a row, so a draw is not so bad in the scheme of things.

Ok result against a bogey team who are better than their league position.

A point away from home has to be a point gained! We can`t win every game.  If we can win next week at home we will be back on track. Every other team in League 1 would love to be in our position tonight, let`s not forget that.

Lame game. My feet are still cold. Bit of an iffy game.
  • As myself and others have stated, good away point on a cold night in Walsall against a team who were up for it tonight.

If we can win our home game against Oldham next week, one of or both Sheffield Wednesday and/or Huddersfield will drop points next week as they are playing each other.

SCP will compose the troops and regroup for the following battles and we have the return of JJ to look forward to in the coming two weeks or so.

Still... what about that last second Taylor header eh...!
  • Just to reiterate......LOOK AT THAT TABLE

  • also i hope stephens is back soon, think we miss his creativity in the middle, especially when we're not playing so well in the wide areas.

Walsall were poor, we were frustrating. A poor pitch meant we didn't play as free flowing as usual but had enough about us in spells to win.

Two great chances squandered by BWP and Hollands and a couple of dodgy decisions capped off an annoying day out.

We needed a different option up top towards the end, but it didn't come. Nothing to really worry about in my opinion, just one of those days.

Mention to Russel, thought he was excellent today - coped the best with the difficult conditions.

Unbeaten in 7 league games and 9 including x2 cup.

Still easily the best away record in the football league (only Machester City & Utd have better records in the premiership).

  • A draw AND a yellow card. I had forgotten what these looked like. Powell Out!

And we conceded our first goal in over a month.

  • Hopefully that is our blip out of the way.
  • Sounded like a fair result, we could have won, we could have lost, but we are still eight points ahead of third place.
  • glad we didn't lose, but we need to win next week to 2 away games to follow

The curse of Manager of the Month!
  • How did Russell play? Anyone think its maybe worth starting Pritchard in the next game? From what I've heard he's not had a bad game yet and deserves a chance if he's fit.

Shame about the Wendies closing a bit of the gap .....but hopefully they've a tough game next week against the, erm .......Invincibles of League One.

See MK Donalds and the RedStripes are on a strong run.

My spy at the match said Russell gave a very decent performance.

    Russel was arguably our MOM.

The Wendy's must be wetting 'emselves over this result. Can't win 'em all and at least we didn't lose.
  • yep Oggy, can't just look for Sheff Wed and Hudds, the other 2 are flying.

A draw away is not much of a blip.

Sounds like a decent point in difficult conditions. Fair play to the thousand or so who got up there. Hopefully we'll have a good turnout next week to drive us on to three points against Oldham.

It's Wednesday v Huddersfield next weekend, so more dropped points for one or both of them. Would rather a Huddersfield win than a Wednesday one at the moment.

Wednesday v Huddersfield. A draw would be best / a dent in Wednesdays home form be entertaining as well.
  • We weren't bad, weren't great either. Hogan played well, as did Russell & the back four...with the exception of Solly!!! He was backing off way, way, way too much. Another point added to the gap, could and should have been three. Denied a penalty at the death not via waggy (dive) but a handball. Kerms played well too. Hollands missed a glorious chance but put his header straight at their keeper,

If there is any team that will catch us i still think it could be MK Dons.
  • ...& not the BWP I know!

Always a bit deflating drawing after winning so many games this season, but it brings everyone back down to earth.

8 points from 3rd, 9 really if you count goal difference is all that matters at the moment, just have to beat Oldham next week and we'll gain points on Hudders or Wednesday

As painful as it is to say it, we now need to hope that Sheffield Wednesday begin to beat the likes of United, MK and 'udders starting with Huddersfield next weekend. The gap to third place is far more important than the gap to second.

No we don't. why do fans insist on ramping up the pressure as soon as even a point is dropped. All we need to do is average a couple of points a game between now and the end of the season and we will be promoted pretty comfortably. Win at home, draw away between now and the end of the season and it'll be job done.
