A bit off subject.
I know it's nice to sing a little ditty on the terraces about certain players but why do we insist on trying to come up with a song for EVERY player?
Traditionally, we've always had a song for one or two players in the team, but it seems that we want one for everyone. Collectively they are Charlton Athletic so let's just sing songs for the team as a whole?

Years ago when the players come on and there names were read out each player was sung too. Even the crap ones.0

I think it was "Wont you save another day" to the tune of East 17's "Stay another day" - can't remember the rest of the lyrics though0

So now we're moaning about too many songs being sung?!

I know i'm the wrong side of 40, but I have recently been reminded by taking along my 10 year old daughter, that kids love to hear the songs for the team and players and its akey part of bonding with the players and fellow fans. Her favourite is the 'We've got Chris Solly, he's ABSOLUTE quality' song. I remember growing up, all my Wendy mates used to come into school on a monday and sing the latest Cop songs. Anything is better than 'Cummon you Reds'.0

My five year old came home from the Sheff utd trip singing another version of the Chris Solly song! Much to Mrs Richies amusement !!!0
-
Do as I used to do, you tell the kids what you hear at football stays at football.0

It was funny, the good lady was picking us up at our local station in Scotland at 10:40 pm after the long trip home. The little fella was fast asleep and I carried him from the train to the car park and put him in his booster seat and he opened his sleepy little eyes and gave it "We've got Chris Solly, hes f******* quality" in a higher pitched accent very similar to the caller on the radio that amused so many earlier in the day and fell back asleep.Even the Mrs had to laugh! Im now trying to tell him about what happens at football stays there!0

He dives to the left
He dives to the right
That ben hamer saves everything in sight
This is the one we should sing0 -
