So the man does still exist. He's just been injured all this time...or so it seems.

    why is everyone so bewitched by the word 'Alonso', his brother is a VERY good player, however, on the evidence of his performance against Brentford, our Alonso is NOT a very good player, in fact he is a poor player. I suspect he's only in England earning a few quid to help with the spanish balance of payments deficit

    you really fancy him as a long term 1st team player, or even as a reliable back up ?.  Time is too short and points too precious to 'give the boy a chance'

    Christ, he's only played one game and he was probably only half fit. If he gets fit, I'm sure he will have a part to play in the second half of our season.

    Just realised his name is an anagram of Solano. I reckon the reason he's not been playing is because he's moonlighting for Hartlepool.................
