Cray - you failed to finish the sentence which is '...back in Spain before he plays a competitive game for us.'  I reckon that both Stephens (nearly fit), Pritchard (and possibly Hughes) are ahead of him in the queue.

Lets hope he is a s good as we all first hoped he would be and that Brentford was, as I thought at the time, an aberration.  Whether he gets into the team or not, we need players who are good enough to put pressure on the players who have the shirt and hopefully he is one.
  • I still can't believe that he wouldn't have a lot to offer at this level if he can get fit. His pedigree is as good as any of our squad.

+1. Let's face it nobody who played in that JPT game against Brentford covered themselves in glory. If anyone is going to judge players based on that night then half the first team squad would now be sitting in the reserves.

His performance against Brentford was rubbish but the quality was there to see. Most importantly, even though nothing came off for him all game he still went for the through ball and still looked to get the ball all over the pitch. A useless player to us would be one who had a bad game and then hid, as we've seen before from other players who were never good enough for our team
  • Hughes was also rubbish that day but has done a job for us.  How can some of you make judgement from one tin pot game?

I'm not making a judgement on the Brentford game - my judgement is based on the fact that since then he has been more elusive than Lord Lucan.
