Pre-Orient Drinking

Got a few non-Charlton bods with us tomorrow, so don't want to head straight to Orient (coach & horses etc), as we will de brinking from 11am.
Can anyone recommend a decent area with a good mix of bars etc, not a million miles away from Orient?

Heard Angel and Shoreditch are meant to be okay?? What would you guys suggest?

    Shoreditch is good.

    Nice little pub there called The Axe Wound (genuine) so take some spare change.
