Adverts on Charlton Life

Morning all,

Have the Adverts been around long?
Are they on the full site as or just the mobile version?
OR have i got a virus on my phone?

    That's alright then. my phone is ok.
    So that means that everytime you visit CL you need to click on the advert to raise some money for the upkeep

    All clear on Firefox and Safari on Mac. Appearing in iphone Safari though - If anyone in Birmingham needs to hire a platform, I have a number.

    Same here on bb but not the net.

    I run some community sites (not football related) and ads are displayed for visitors who are using the site for free. I also give the option to pay a subscription and then the sites are ad free for those members. So i clearly have no objection to ads on here. Must cost a small fortune to keep the CL online.

    if its on your phones could it be your phone company automatically putting up adverts?

    Wow, the ad targeting is getting pretty sophisticated now, isn't it?  Just need to remember where I left that spare fifteen grand now.

    I thought the ads were targetted based on your browser history @Stig? Perhaps you need to be looking a bit closer to home.
