As its Friday, and I have a hangover, too much stout last night, and only an hour to go until hair of the dog o'clock, whats the preferred beverage of the discerning Addick?.In my yoof it was lager, lager, lager. When I hit 30 the old taste buds turned middle age and now I'm a connossiuer of the finest Real Ales and wine.
So its a pint of bitter for me....What are you having ?

  • Can't beat a bottle of Peroni in an iced glass.
Apart from the pub near my work that does it on tap. Magical.

Partial to Belgium beer (Duval, ORval, Leffe) and Shepherd and Neame esp Bishops Finger.

Will normally drink Guiness or Dog (half pint glass please) in a pub if no decent real ale or bitter.

Like a decent Merlot or Shiraz and a sloe gin always hits the spot.

Kronenbourg is the best but I just can't drink it anymore like i did anyway

Newcastle Brown Ale is good stuff as well. Can't drink bitter though NOT YET anyway - once I do I know I am as old a Henry then ( sorry H)

    Love red wine
  • Totally depends on my mood and the occassion...particular favourites:

love a bottle of ice cold Budvar
    decent pint of Guinness
a glass of a good 'hearty' red
    Bacardi 'Ocho' and coke

Avoid Budweiser, Carling, Fosters etc at all costs - are all like making love in a canoe....

or a good merlot with a steak
or bourbon and dry top shelf
    depends on my mood
  • You cant beat a bottle of red.I got fingered by the Bishop last week, so to speak,it was a bit stronger than I first realised.Shephered Neame brews to tend to be a have a bit of a kick in them.Got one of those Guinness surgers which are supposed to make it taste like the real Dublin Mccoy. Not convinced though.

terrible standard of drinking to be honest. Love the lagers that everyone supposedly hates - bud, fosters, carling. Can't handle the strong stuff or the European lagers. Don't like bitter, not a big wine fan, can handle a bit of white or rose if very cold. Don't drink spirits, love a iced magners or bulmers, or a disco drink after a few lagers.

out to 12.30 last night, and got to do it all again tonight :-(

i used to look forward to these things, now i just dread them.....

I'm really into the ciders, not that awful Magners stuff, but if pumped- Strongbow and if bottled, Merrydown if i can get it.

Like a reasonable white wine- Red makes me sleepy and aggresive so I steer away.

Never do spirits- too dangerous with my thirst.

A beautiful glass of vintage champagne is my absolute favourite.

The problem is if you mix it with anything it gives you a terrible hangover, and it's a bit pricey to drink it all night!

Stella or Kronenberg or a Czech lager called Staropramen if available. When too full for lager JD on the rocks.

All lagers or the occasional Guinness.

I must be the only person in the world that cannot abide Wine I think it is the most foulest drink ever concocted.

With you on that Ketman. Absolutely hate wine but funny that I do like a glass of Port. Got a little bit more kick than wine imo.

Mainly lagers as mentioned on here before, or sometimes Strongbow. On a night out will start with lager then go onto vodka and cokes.

As a uni student sometimes the Snakebites (with the blackcurrant) will come out, but not often as I don't like it that much!!

    I also don't like wine.

Can't beat a nice pint of Carling Extra cold. Like AFKA I try to avoid the loopy juices like Kronenberg and Stella. If not then a nice glass or two of medium white or rose with my dinner
The only spirit I drink is Southern Comfort with lemonade and a dash of lime. Also partial to a Bulmers or Magners over ice.

Not really into booze. Probably have a cuppa if pushed, but generally stick to room temperature Evian.
