Sorry if this has been done before but i can't find the answer on the other threads - is their an away pub near the ground? - going by car so not getting smashed but just want a couple so don't want to bother with trams and all that and want to be able to park up and not get back in car until game is finished. Advice welcomed.

NBT is your best bet. You used to be able to park at the Owlerton stadium where the "casino" is (Monte Carlo it ain't!) if you got there early enough. That's past the NBT on the right.

Well, now word is out that i could be making a comeback next season i thought CP might have called just to get me in and around the squad - almost like a Beckham at the world cup with a view to an Henry / Scholes next year but maybe he doesn't want to use me yet. We'll see, maybe CP wants to prove he can do it without me.

Okay, thanks CE. I did look on there but it wasn't clear whether the Barrack Tavern was a drive or walk. Thanks anyway.
  • The NBT is about a mile from the away end

Thanks Owls - all sorted now - even enables me to walk a bit off as i'm currently involved in a weight loss competition. A good ruck as well and i might actually lose a few calories. (joking of course)

Doubt it's a mile really. I go to the comedy club there and its pretty close. If you know the main road (penistone road), it's about 100 mtrs before the drive in Mcdonalds & B&Q, on left hand side. You can park on the road behind the pub, just turn left into Bamforth Street, turn right after 100 metres onto Bilston Street, then right again onto Burton Street (where they filmed the full monty), then left into Walter Street. This will bring you behind the pub, and you can use the back/side door in the beer garden.

To be fair, if 500 Addicks try to park there it could be a wee bit rammed!
