Another Train question....

I have recieved 2 Free 1st Class return Train tickets to use by July 2012. Was hoping to use to Carlisle, but the "small print" says to be used on: c2c, Chiltern Railways, East Midlands, First Capital Connect, First Great Western, London Midland, National Express East Anglia, South Eastern. Southern & South Western Trains only". Any ideas what the longest Away trip we've got left this season is within these companies reach ?

If you can't make Chesterfield with East Midlands, London Midland goes to Liverpool Lime Street, change at Birmingham New Street, so Tranmere? You can also go to Bournemouth on South Western.0

Wouldn't use them on SWT - they don't even have a first class on most trains! Southern is debatable too. First Class is only good for guaranteeing a seat (although the smug gits in there will probably stare at you and tut, assuming you are not one of them).
