Don't know how true this is, but have just received a text that the FA are about to announce that Capello has been sacked.
3rd hand info and probably Chinese Whispers but thought I'd put it out there.

who's saying that ?0

Surely we can't afford to get shot of him?
Or do you think that now Harry's ok , he's a shoe in for the job, Dowie to Tottenham?0 -
would cost too much to sack. Wait until after the summer and we will get Harry0
-
Why would they send a text out saying that ?
Clearly they havent sent me a text. Someone has passed info to me that he has heard. He texted me. Not the FA!

Don't really care whose manager, hate the thought of a team with the likes of Terry, Rooney and Cole being given hero status for the next 40 years if by some miracle we won something.0

Joe Currie from the BBC is now suggesting that the delay in an announcement from the FA is suspect.0

BBC site says this:
(The FA said):
"He may well have breached his contract. There is a view that publicly this sort of matter shouldn't be aired in this sort of way.0 -
Suspect he has been sacked and this is a cover story.0
-
Hope he has resigned dread to think how much of my subs and ticket money has gone to his contract already let alone a severance.0
-
Terry has a lot to answer for.
As do the sweet FA0 -
I blame QPR....0

Suspect he has been sacked and this is a cover story.
I suspect he was asked to withdraw his comments and to back Bernstein. And being a proud man, he refused. The Mail's Matt Lawson (who was the only one who came close to calling this outcome) described him as ''arrogant'' on the radio this morning. So there was no way FC was going to back down, and so his fate was sealed.
FA will argue his comments were in breach of contract, so compensation is not payable.0 -
I guess it increases our chances ... of getting out of the group stage.0
-
This was always going to be Capello's last hurrah before taking a backseat or retiring entirely so I reckon he felt he'd rather stick to his guns than roll over for the mugs at the FA. God I hope they don't hire Stuart Pearce0
-
Go get Mourinho!0
