Big big night tonight..........whenever a big game looms the day seems to drag, always been the same and I suppose it's the same for just about everyone.
Really stoked up for this one and the antisipation is welling up as the hours tick by.
Can smell the fish and chip shop and the burger bars already, the buzz of the crowd and the cries of the programme sellers as I make my way down Floyd Road, for what feels like the millionth time.
Some things never change and I for one would never change it, not for the world.............I'm going home tonight, home to my beloved Valley.

    Its strange.

Before the two Sheffield games i was stupidly excited / nervous. Today i just don't have that same sense of expectation, even though it is a huge night on paper, against a team i think has the potential to outplay us.
  • Don't worry AFKA I'm sure as the time gets nearer you'll be up for some bunter with the rest of the crowd...

...oops I meant banter of course. I'm such a silly old oaf.

How many do you reckon MK will bring tonight? Couple of hundred? They don't have many fans

We are 15 points ahead of them so it won't be as nervy as the Sheffield games

Haven't been nervous all week but I'm starting to feel it a little bit now. I think the fact we haven't played in two weeks and don't have a recent enough performance to go on has thrown everything out of whack. MK will start brightly but I think in the end our quality should shine through. As for the away attendance, I'm going for 15. Just 15 people.

I suspect it will do us some good- the team hasn't lost out training wise I undertsand and a few players probably needed a rest. We are a better side than MK Dons according to the table so a full strength, fit and hungry team with that little bit more quality is likely to shine through IMO.

It's funny I was quite relaxed and looking forward to this one without any nerves.
Now I'm feeling a bit anxious about everything after reading this thread! :-)

    Have faith people.

The table says that so far we are the best team in the division.
Chris Powell will drum into the team that complacency is not an option.

No point being nervous, that will only create an atmosphere at The Valley that is fraught with tension - and make it difficult for the team. Is that what you want?

Get behind the lads right from the start!

Been looking forward to this game for some time, up until yesterday was convinced we'd gte a bit of a humbling but in the cold light of day think it will be quite the opposite. Feeling overcome with optimism and it feels dirty

4-1 Charlton; BWP, Green, Haynes, Jacko

I was nervous after that, they gave us the run around first half. Thought they'd be chasing us a lot closer than they are, but some iratic results from them, suggests as many had pointed out great first 11 when all fit but once they pick up injuries or lack of form they'll fall away.

I wish I could go but it's not easy from California. And, Soundas, your post definitely created an image. Roll on Oldham, Walsall and Carlisle when I'll be HOME.

They haven't won in 6, I just don't get this obsession with Franchise as a rival for automatics, beaten at both Sheffield sides and at Stevenage.

Lets get The Valley rocking tonight!

A massive atmosphere and noise will help us massively. We have got to be the 12th man tonight.

Get the impression they play pretty football at times but are not very effective in getting results, best example being 3 up at Brentford to end up drawing 3-3

Good at getting draws at home, but went to Hillsborough and Brammell Lane and got beat, lost at Stevenage. Think you've got it, they play pretty stuff, but don't win games, if they did, they wouldn't be 15 points behind us
  • Missed my fix, even if it is in the form of Player. Going to try and get some sleep then up at 00:45 to listen
