How about this for an idea.
The 1st team play at Chesterfield, which is near to Manchester, on the previous evening.

The club arrange for the youth team and families to be at that game, then 1st and youth team stay locally overnight. Following day Mr Slater arranges for all players to train at Manchester City's training ground and have a tour of their stadium to gain familiarisation with a biggish ground. Then for the match all 1st team, youth team families and supporters together at Old Trafford for the match to cheer on the lads.

So come on Airman get the ball rolling!

There's something quite demeaning about our team taking a tour of City's stadium.

Don't see why, our youth team aren't use to playing in a big stadium and Old Trafford is on of the biggest, by visiting City's ground it will get them acclimatised and then they won't be so overawed by OT, also by having our 1st team with them it may give them some extra confidence.

For some reason I thought you meant the first team.

Surely the Valley is a MASSIVE stadium?
  • Apparently not as MASSIVE as Wednesday's though.
