Compared to the last few years, Been such a feel good positive feeling around the place.

Top of the league and clear by playing good football and scoring goals.
Buying lots of players who actually want to playfor the club.
Big days out in the cup taking 7k and although losing 4-0, Not being embarrassed.
Youth team making it to the Quarter Finals of the Cup.
Having someone who has such a good rapport with the fans, And is well liked by everyone unlike Pardew etc.
Some top away days!

Them and other reasons have made it such a brilliant season so far to support Charlton.

Great post, sums up exactly how I feel. I love watching these players play.
  • Maybe it's because I tend to be at more away games but there seems to be a bond between management, players and fans - we are all in it together, I guess it is easier for the team to show this to an away end than to three sids of the Valley - but it is definitely there, and of course that lovely winning feeling you get away from home (except when you don't score)

Agreed Tango. Great season, but only for the Balti pies, the rest is just superficial nonsense.

Best season since we won the championship or Divison One as it was known and couldbe even better, if we don't tail off.

I agree Kap , but for me this is better as at that time one of my sons wasn't yet born , and the other one now 15 cried his eyes out as the Fireworks went off when Kinsella lifted the trophy aloft, hopefully now they will be tears of pure joy, now they can both enjoy it :-0

So the Balti pies at the Valley are new this season then, I asked for a steak one on Tuesday and got this curry one, was pleasant!

I hadn't noticed the pies - must admit the 'onions' they use for the hot dogs put me off Valley food.

Agreed. Certainly with Pardew a large number were calling for him to come in. Had he secured promotion in his first year or even saved us from relegation with some kind of miracle, then I am fairly certain we would have warm fuzzy feelings about him.
  • It's what being a fan is all about; the poor seasons make this one feel all the better - good post.

Winning doesn't make those onions seem better!
