be a big game for Wednesday, 38,000 at Hillsborough, bad performances of late, and the pressure on Megson, can see them turning up for this one, and getting a result.

Huddersfield home to Excreter next Saturday, 25th.

Then away to Stevenage, the following Tuesday.

You have to be a tactical voter here, Kap.

A Sheff United victory would mean 4 defeats (5 including their Cup hammering) on the trot for the Massives.

Is a draw the best outcome, meaning both sides drop points?
I know what you are saying but I am confident in our team enough to feel we dont need to worry about any team tripping us up ... other than us

Can't see wednesday beating on form United. Would prefer to see wednesday win just to make second spot that bit more interesting.
  • Of the two I much prefer United, but really hope Wednesday win next week; United could be a real threat to us still, but I'd be amazed if the Wendies could be now.
    Spot on Stigmeister!
  • is it on the box?
Its being beamed live to 122 country's because Wednesday are so massive, the pope has been told to take mass early in St Peters Square so it does not clash on TV.

    meh
  • Utd will win but better for us if Wendy did.
  • Wendies win best, they are no longer a threat, Blades on the other hand are a threat for the title.

  • Blades have played 3 more games at home than they have away, we have played two games less at home than away. We will go up as champions.
  • Draw or a win for the maaaasivvve

A win for us and a draw between those two would make it a great weekend!

ah its as simple as that is it. Lovely.
  • I always think draws for opposition are good - a point goes out the system.

Who cares - this thing is our hands now.

Let's hope we don't have butter fingers !

  • Blades can still easily get to 94 points. I don't think anyone has come second with that many. Look at the fixtures. We need Weds to at least get a draw in this one. Weds won't finish above us.

That said if we win 9 more games we should be champs whatever anyone else does.
  • We've really got to get behind the team on Tuesday night to make sure we take the points.
  • is it on the box?
No, the Sheffield derbies nowadays are on Sundays on police advice

Wednesday, so we can get further and further away from 3rd place. Would like to win the league and have a bit of silverware, but promotion is the first priority!!!!

Reckon Wednesday will win, they've lost 4 in a row which means they'll beat they're local rivals. Wednesday win will be better as I don't think they are as strong as United.
  • Local derby so form book goes out the window but if I was a betting man I cant really see beyond a Utd win. The opposite would be better for us though.
  • I hope that both of them draw. If they both win it would be very bad news.

If it's draw they 'both' will draw??

  • This is a massive game for Wednesday. Not only is it a derby, possibly their last for a while, but if they lose wo United they are almost certainly going to be too far behind second and the playoffs are a lottery.

Megson will know that a defeat on Sunday and they will be eight points and a much weaker goal difference behind United with Huddersfield and MK Dons right down their necks.

I also think the game is massive for United as a win and they are well and truly in the driving seat for automatic promotion.

It's actually really exciting, but I'm glad we're out of it.

Definitely an interesting game. A nice game to watch live on TV.

A draw would be the best result.

Megson will be under pressure, if the Wendies lose. I think that the Wendies are getting the picture that they are not the most massive and impressive team in the league. Some of their fans go to extremes, one victory and they are on a roll to win the league and a couple of defeats and the hysteria breaks out. If they were able to form a realistic opinion on the team, they would be happy with a play off position. The team and their fans sound a bit like we did pre take over. They are lacking quality. It is hard to accept but the league table does not lie. I am glad I don't have to watch Megson type football week in and week out, I would likely be similarly desperate.

Another free kick goal conceded by the Wendies - 1.50

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17072940

(Danny Mayor's goal for Preston mid week is pretty good, 30 seconds, though the no 2 defender gives him free reign to shoot. At the end, Matty Fryatt at Bradford scores a nice goal (aided by a mistake from the defender)).

Ched Evans, Sheff Utd seems to be on a good run of form, he shows really quick feet - 1.14 mins. He is definitely a striker on form. x2 goals yesterday as well.

It seems that Sheff Utd will win all the way, but local derbies throw up some different results and the Wendies will likely put in a big effort. 2-2, my prediction.
