Just to open it up a bit:

In his time at the club, did you ever see Harry with a brown paper bag? Do you know Rosie? Is Sandra as good in front of goal as they say?

Do you remember Paul Morrell? He's my cousin down the line.

Just had a word with the wife who has suggested 'Eddie Mitchell, Eddie Mitchell, Do the Brannings know you're here, do the the Brannings know you're here?'

Just listened to iPlayer and they have edited it out, embarrassing stuff from Bournemouth's chairman.

    Clearly been drinking.

  • not the first time.like when he came on the pitch drunk sarcastically clapping the team after we lost 3-1 at home a week after telling the supporters on a bbc solent fans forum to go support southampton.money does not buy class.only to add the fact that hes ripping the club off

Do most Bournemouth fans not like Mitchell? Hasn't he put a lot of money into your club? What's the story?

The story is that most of the money seems to be spent on unneccesary infrastructure projects around Dean Court supplied by a local builder/developer.

As long as he keeps ploughing the money back in I suppose it's quite a 'goodish' idea in some ways for all parties...as long as what he's doing is made transparent to one and all, which on reflection, it looks like it hasn't been.

  • Oh yeah, last month he started digging up and preparing some scabby old land next to the groung to use a training pitch, etc.

He had permission from the council (they've leased the club the land much to the anger of some local residents) but he had to be served with a notice stopping work immediately because he hadn't gone through the proper processes for dealing with contaminated land and the potential health risks associated with it like he was required to.

Lets not forget he is property developer so his claim of honest ignorance and that he "just likes to get things done" is a little shallow. Maybe it's more a case of thinking and behaving like the same rules don't apply to him because he's a big player locally?
  • Eddie Mitchell just been fined £1500 for his little 'tired and emotionla outburst' on Five Live the other week.
