in fairness, he is a hero for us, he hates being called that so in our own interests we should desist from using it

    WTF............sorry salad!
Not sure whether or not this is a continuation of the thread from a month or two back re 'not calling him Kermit' and if your post is an ironic wind-up as a result of that?
Or are you being serious....puzzling, I'm guessing it's an ironic comment but others who are either new on here or who hadn't seen the thread I'm reffering to, may well be pretty confused?

Yes his two close french mates said it straight to a few addicks to lay off the K cos it was affecting him or something like that... Hope that those guys are looking in here either those French guys or fellow addicks that heard it on the train...

Yes, that's right, evidently a couple of his mates said he doesn't like being called Kermit but no one (fan that is) has actually asked him himself...well as far as we know anyway.
So we're not sure that's pucker info, a bit scepticle to be honest, coming from a couple of young French fellas on a train...it's confusing, as when you think of it why should being called Kermit bother him one little bit........Kermit is after all a very endearing character.
I realise the French/frog/Kermit connection, but I'd have thought that he wouldn't be offended...especially if it was explained that it's being said with no animosity whatsoever, indeed the exact opposite..........because as I say, Kermit is a loveable character.
Anyway, maybe someday I'll ask him myself!
    LOL!

Soundas... im really sorry but if his friend said he doesnt like it why can you not accept this? Im sure you like yann and im sure you can understand that most French people do not like being referred to a frog. Please accept thats the way French people think.

Leave it Large... too timid to fight with Off It. :-)

  • I do wonder that, in defference to the conceived delicate feelings of 'our Beast', that a certain public house on the corner of Charlton Church lane should cover its name when he drives past on match days?

No. It is an away pub so it winds him up and he tries even harder, if that is possible.
