He was sat a few rows in front of our drummer in the main stand...in with the away fans.
Pleased to see him joining in with some of the singing.
He's doing a gig in Guildford tonight, which is very handy for him, it's on the way back to London of course.

Oh yes that's right Richard......I'd forgotten about that.

  • Top bloke, is Cameron (his real name). Had some terrific laughs with him 'back in the day' at Samuel Montagu Boys Club..........he always had some fantastic one liners.

I met Jim at Bournemouth yesterday, I said to him that I thought he would have been at Frank Carson's funeral, he replied "Frank's not dead"!

  • Always liked Jim.

Seems a very down-to-earth bloke. Had his problems in the past but then who hasn't.

  • Comedian from the ice age
  • Obviously me and a few others are fans from the ice age.
  • He's the only comedian I find less amusing than Billy Connolly.
  • Each to there own. World would be a boring place if we all agreed on everything.

Well said Southamptonaddick. The anti-Davidson lobby piss me right off. His comedy might be old hat but he's a Charlton fan, end of.

  • Redskin. You don't like him I get that but many people do which is why he is still working.

I find Frankie Boyle obnoxious, unfunny and offensive but many people like him. Each to there own.

Rather than being a racist (as some seem to claim) I find him to be a very patriotic and proud Englishman. Granted, some of his material doesn't fit into the liberal pc brigades way of thinking but to call it racism is a bit harsh. Yeah he done 'Chalky' impressions many years ago, but as they might now be seen as offensive, I don't think he done it to hurt anyone. Times have changed and I assume (as I've not seen his act for a number of years) he no longer has this character as part of his act. Saw him a in the 90's when he came down to the Falklands to put on a show for the troops and he was a great laugh. even spent ten minutes talking to him in the bar afterwards about our beloved Addicks returning to the Valley............................

Blimey, can we just for once mention Jim D. without the moral battle over his past?

Southampton,I'm in no position, and would never want to be,to censor what any body likes or dislikes. There were a number of posts on here saying what a great bloke JD is;I simply disagreed with a bit of ribbing thrown in for luck, that's all.

Couldnt we avoid this by just not bothering to mention him.
