I really do think e are going upp but would be gutted not to do it as Champions after leading for practically the whole season.0

We were going up whatever the results yesterday but those results meant it is almost certainly going to be as champions. Games are running out and teh gap is too big.0

I'm sure it has been said many times before but seasons like this one only come round once in a blue moon. I've experienced more lows than highs in the last half centuary of following my beloved Charlton, 6 relegations compared to 5 promotions although a 6th now looks fairly certain to even things out. I am going to save my full congratulations until this is mathamatically confirmed but I might, just might have a large brandy after my dinner today and drink a toast to eveyone connected with Charlton for such us an outstanding season. Said with caution like a good old Addick who just knows it ain't over till the fat lady sings, in case the old ancient Charlton of yester year raises it's ugly head.
I'm like Len won't let go till were over the finishing line, but even so this year is incredible and it's more likely the gap will get bigger than pegged back.
Those that want to party, why not. You couldn't have dreamed being in this position at the start of it.

It's fantastic to read the good vibes in this thread, it really is. We've all been thinking it but few dared to say it but as yesterdays dramatic results were confirmed it's like the dam finally burst. The media, our promotion rivals, all other clubs supporters and now finally us can believe it....we ARE going up!!
We must now aim to smash the 100 points mark and clinch the title in real style to confirm our undoubted total domination of this league. It's no less than our season deserves.0 -
Lets worry about next year from august, its not often we can bask in glory, so lets do it nowWe are almost guaranteed promotion I am 100% sure it will happen now 90% it will be as champions, I just wonder what we'll be saying a year from now...

Afraid not We'll still be in the 1st round proper next season as only the top 12 in the Championship this season go straight into the 3rd round. The rest start in the 1st round, including those promoted to the the Championship.
