Does anyone know which is the most popular name printed on the back of a replica shirt, by the club shop?

I bet Murphy and Hasslbaink were popular - used to see loads of them walking down Valley Flloyd Road.

Bent would have been popular, as it was cheaper and he was our best player by a mile.

Right now, it would probably be Jackson as he's been here longer

I'd say over the years Mendonca, although pwoper Charlton had the Ecru shirt with Kinsella on the back.

Pity they never had shirt names when Albert Uytenbogaardt was around.

Yep, just what you want to have on the back of your shirt.

Based on when we probably sold the most home shirts would lead me to think our first promotion to the Prem therefore would have to be Mendonca

Hunt as well, especially given his season with us in the Championship and the fact his name was short.

Anyone get a name they really regretted? After an impressive home debut vs Bolton, I got Amdy Faye.

I remember someone had 69 sex god emblazoned on their shirt, in as big lettering as would fit.

I would guess that they'd regret that after a while or perhaps not.

Nearly got Konchesky when I was younger but it was too expensive. Definitely would have regretted that. I got Fish instead which thanks to that advert is still a good one
  • I must confess to having the following -
    Mendonca 10
    Redfearn 4
    Kinsella 8
    Powell 3
    Fish 36
    Smertin 25
    Murphy 13
    Johansson 21
    Rommedahl 19
    Di Canio 11
    Semedo 23

Fortunately i have managed to get them all signed and framed at Player of the year dinners etc...I value the Di Canio one the most !!

Bent was cheaper and he was a very popular player but there was a big drawback!

I've had Euell, Mills, Di Canio and Powell on the back of my shirts. Di Canio, Bent, Mendonca and Rufus seem to be the most popular.
