Who is going up with us?

Whilst we wouldn't want Chrissy or the players to start getting carried away and claiming promotion until it is a mathematical certainty, everybody not connected with the club is saying it's done and dusted. I think most of us know it too now so who do we think will be joining us? We haven't any need for bias so can probably as objective and knowledgable as anybody. I predicted Huddersfield for the other automatic all season but in recent months I had started to think I might be wrong and Sheff Utd will get it. I'm going back to fancying Huddersfield and will tip Utd, Wednesday, MKDons and Stevenage for the play-offs with Stevenage winning it. I hope I'm wrong as a Wednesady v Utd final would be great theatre but I just think if Stevenage make it to the top 6, the other teams will fear them most.

I think Notts C may be the team who make a late surge.

    Who cares? ;-)

My money would be on Sheff Utd (auto) and Huddersfield (play-off)
  • Second place to any of four teams. Sheff Utd, Sheff Wed, Hudds and MK. The second spot is well and truly up for grabs,

No-ONE deserves to go up except the mighty Addicks from this division this year. There needs to be a special Football League ruling, I will propose it and Steve Claridge will be the secounder !

They should have a rule that if you exceed 100 points you go up 2 divisions.

Wednesday and Huddersfield have bottled it. United only have one defender though so it could still get interesting... I fancy Whoever finishes 6th to beat huddersfield in the playoff final as well.

Disagree, the rule should be that you have a promotion in hand, and can claim it at any point in the next ten seasons should you need it - a bit like the joker in it's a knockout..
  • 'Udd have a crap defence, Sheff U will take the 2nd - and hope 'Udd dont go up so that we can nick a couple of their players , being Rhodes and Ward- could well be MKD TBH
  • Judging by this..http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D2/runin.html
its gonna be Sheff Wed v MKD and Udd v Stevenage in the playoff semi's - wont it be great to just put your feet up and watch them scrambling away whilst we are already up !
  • Sheffield Utd 2nd and Franchise to win the play-offs has been my prediction the last couple of months and id still say that.

really don't care - I think its between Sheff U & the Udders for autos and I hope Sheff U get it & Udders miss out in the play-offs........... so we can then nick Jordan Rhodes from them.

I had a look at the remaining fixtures yesterday and Sheff Utd seem to have the toughest matches overall but I think they will scrape into the second spot.

Play-offs are a lottery but on current form Notts County could be the team.

    Huddersfield 2nd & Stevenage p/o
  • Great question

I think it will be Sheffield utd as 2nd but only just , on the last game of the season I reckon 3 teams will be in an automatic place

Stevenage will play hudds in the playoffs
And will go up as huddersfield bottle it for the 3rd time in 4 seasons

Weds will win play-offs, beating Hudds in final. Sorry, but they will.

    Sheff Utd automatic.
A few weeks ago I was fancying Stevenage to 'bugger anyone up' in the play-off's, but they've begun to fade recently, so I have to say the third slot is now really up for grabs......were I to put money on it, I'd go for MKD's.

Fancy MK to go up, been in and around the top all season but have done it quietly, reckon they'll win the play offs.

The Blades will go up as runners-up to us, whoever gets third place will be the form team in the last dozen matches of the season play-offs. I'd love it to be Bournemouth, but sadly that's unlikely now, on footballing grounds I think Huddersfield - being draw specialists they lose very few games and Rhodes is a player who can win games.

the 2 Sheffields, Utd automatic and Wed via the play-offs
  • the 2 Sheffields, Utd automatic and Wed via the play-offs
I will bet you a reasonably large sum of money that this will not happen.

I've been looking at the run in for the teams below us, and MK Dons could - I know it is very unlikely - win all their games. The hardest games they have on paper, are against Sheff Utd and Carlisle, and both of those are at home.
