Just watched the football league highlights show here Fox Sports 3 .....they had coverage of Sheff Utd V Oldham.....then showed the table...mentioned the defeat for the blades again, then said Huddersfield suffered a shock equlaiser in the last minute V Bury.....then moved on to Oxford V Swindon....wtf

With the exception of the top 5-6 teams in the Prem, every club has fans who think they are being ignored. I can't argue with the Fox coverage, that's messed up. But I don't think we are 'ignored' by the British Media (whoever they are) at all. We get a small slot in a show that's way too short for the amount of coverage the teams expect.
The BBC don't have the bandwidth to offer the League a show akin to Goals On Sunday, which is what is required ie. three hours. So they format it it in a very simplistic way. Meanwhile the papers have to sell more copies. They don't believe - and who are we to argue unless we can prove otherwise - that they will do that by giving third-tier teams lots of coverage.
That said, I read The Times and find it hugely frustrating when they set their team of bull5hit merchants on a subject. 7-8 pages of Chelsea today!! More Chelsea coverage in one day than we'll get in a year! But we don't sell papers and Chelsea do, so you can't really argue with that.... can you?0 -

But do they? How do we know? Have they ever tried focusing away from the glory hunter's teams? Would sales of the Times plunge if they didn't? Or is it just that most journos prefer to hob-nob with household names?
