Man Utd point clear of City now. Can't see them being shifted either. My guess is Mancini will be gone in summer. The Special One anyone ?

No chance ... there not having Chrissy Powell.
  • Man Utd have to go to City and win first!! Can't see them doing it myself and expect City will still win the title.

I hope so .. all that money spent and he still can't fashion a winning team. the Tevez affair made him a laughing stock amongst his grossly overpaid and overrated players.

If city don't win the league, Mancini has to go, this is the worse United team in a generation.

If he doesn't get chopped now then he has to deliver the champions league or premiership next season. On the display today v Wigan they are just not good enough.

What's more embarrassing, Birmingham v Arsenal in the League Cup or Man City v Wigan in the FA Cup?

this one .. the gunners have looked a bit 'fragile' for quite a while .. city have spent millions and been successful but are still shite covered with a veneer of gold

He's never been a top, top level manager. He really should have done better in Europe with Inter as well.

You won't win a trophy every year.

The richest club in the world ? They need to be winning something every year.

What i meant to say was,

Chelsea, Man utd, arsenal, Liverpool, spurs and good knows how many other euro teams trying to win the same things every year.

Money can only buy so much.

Patience and stability will make you a force over time. They can come back stronger next year with the same set up.

They should of won the game today but I don't think it was make or break for Mancini.

If he had made the semi final of the CL he would be safe. If he goes it will be his CL record and the manner they lost the title. Not the fact it was trophy-less in my opinion

I think if I was the owner and pumping millions and millions into a team in an effort to make them the very best of the very best then I think Mancini has failed on every level. Picking up trophies is the yardstick that Manchester City and Mancini will be judged.

Most City fans appear to want him to stay and not be sacked. They know more than we do about their club.

The players look to hold more sway in the dressing room than the manager. Not a recipe for sustained success, which is what citeh need to establish themselves as a credible force in the modern game.

Makes me laugh that David Platt is Mancinis assistant (room mates at Sampdoria), anyone who ever witnessed Platt's Nottingham Forest side will know that he doesn't offer much as a coach

He won the fa cup Two years ago and thé premier league last year.

Sacking a manager for 1 trophy less season is very roman.

If he falls short again next year then yes. I would like to see one of these super rich clubs build something instead of throwing more money at managers than you do players.

I think he will be fine this summer as he still seems to have the fans on side.

Wouldn't be shocked if he went though.

For a team that spent £200m and can't get past the champions league group twice, lose to Wigan in the final and finishes 2nd place so many points behind Man Utd is not good enough. Chelsea spent the same amount and got instant success under Mourinio.

Never really found him offensive at all

He's not done what the bosses would want so would not be so surprised to see him get the boot

They didn't buy well at all last summer - is that down to the manager or those in the boardroom/director of football types?

I dont think the players are with him if honest

    Tevez
    Kompany
    Silva
    Nasri

All seemed to look at him in contempt to take tevez off and leave silva on and replace him with the boy from everton was baffling

The city players dont like 3 at the back and have said it publicaly

    His time is up
