    Deffo the whole of the Championship straight into 3rd round.
    20 Premiership teams, 24 Championship. That makes 44 games in the third round. That dog don't hunt.

    Forgive me. I am an idiot. Sorry, I'm still hung over from yesterday at Bournemouth. All 44 clubs in the top two tiers are exempt until the 3rd round and only 18 lower tier clubs can make it that far.

    I hate saying it because we're charlton and as a rule don't tend to win. But this season we are just different...it's like a new club, and because of this I can safely say that we are going up...as champions, because we have the best players, best manager and nicest stadium in this league!

    The top two divisions have always been exempt till the third round. If Charlton are promoted (SORRY -- when Charlton are promoted) they will be in the second tier therefore they will not join the FA Cup until round Three with all the other big boys from the top two divisions. The League cup works differently,
    With respect Better Red i think your getting your cups mixed up.
    No worries the way this Charlton team are playing we can scoop the lot next season.

    Still think you're in command but a few weeks ago it was 17! and now it's 9, you have Huddersfield away coming up too, all to play far but if we can reduce it to 6 then you might wobble bigtime.
