He maybe "enjoyed" his previous stay - not sure we did! Better luck this time, Lee...

Really not sure about this. We was crap and disinterested last time.

There you go! Second part of the SCP plan. A proper left sided midfield player and another who can play there and who can also play up front now on the books.

How many more players are we going to sign this year. Cook makes 25.

Very poor last time but he was injured, the team was managed by Pardew and it was a higher division.

Still respect him for giving up some of his signing on fee to help QPR who were in a financial mess at the time.

Bit on the short side though.
  • Well There you go! Was not expecting this... There was someone on another thread saying they would prefer alistar cook rather than lee cook on the left! Not happy at all about this signing but will stick by scp

Genuine left footer so finally we have cover for Jacko up pitch .

Very impressed with him at Brisbane Road for the O's on NYE , in L1 I'm happy with this for the run in .

    Beyond that i reserve judgement.

Return for Nouble on the cards now !?
  • If Jacko's injury problems are causing problems then a fit Lee Cook is the perfect replacement.

See, SCP has brought in 2 players today - a CF and a LM, we desperately needed a LM.

Well done SCP @ freshening things up!

When he signed in 2008 Fulham used us to get him fit, brought into replace Andy Reid, we were an utter shambles of a football club, and Pardew had lost the plot.

He played well for the Os earlier this season, so hopefully he's still match fit, he did a good job against us at Brisbane Road, and so I hope he gives us the cover needed for Jacko.

Lee Cook walked out on Aylesbury to join Watford, Aylesbury sued (reasonably enough) but lost on a technicality. Kenny Jackett was manager of Watford at the time.

If SCP can get the best out of him, it's a good signing. Forget about what happened when he was here before. Pardew couldn't get Scott Sinclair, Jerome Thomas or Darren Ambrose playing well, and look at them now.

Should stir things up a bit
  • I thought he was ok for us last time.
  • I think we had worse loan signings than Lee Cook when Pardew was here (that Chelsea lad with the red boots springs to mind), but I seem to recall that Pardew himself made Cook something of a scapegoat at the end of the 07/08 season and i think that might have clouded a few judgements. Cook's biggest problem last time around, was that he wasn't Andy Reid.

The most scary thing about this whole signing is that something on FR came true
